made me choke up fr
It was obvious that either Sam or Bucky were going to replace him since both have been cap in the comics.
Kind of wished Bucky was given the shield, he was his literally long time best friend and he would've been more suited to the role.
Endgame line?
Kenneth Bowers he’s still technically a wanted criminal
"I don't want to kill anybody. I don't like bullies. I don't care where they're from." Perfect line. Marvel really understands their characters.
Well said my brother
Why Calling Danger Zone AB
Marvel understand his characters except for Tom Holland's Spider-Man.

"I can do this all day" ;-)
The thing about captain America, is the fact that he is willing to stare down an entire army of aliens alone with a broken shield. He doesn’t care about the odds. Steve Rogers is the best avenger that there will ever be. He is worthy of thors hammer for a reason.
Gotta remember, he also doesn't like bullies no matter who they are or where they come from.
Yea I thought iron man is the best avengers but okay
@@abyssnofap4281 u right tho he saved them all
I feel sorry for that army.
Maybe not the best but definitely part of the 3

You can hear the horn part of this theme when tony gives cap his shield back in endgame! Goosebumps!

It also played at the end when cap gave his shield to Sam.
I was just about to type this! It gave me so many chills!!!😁😭
You are a legend.
Second time watching it that's exactly what I noticed!
Everybody is like "steve rogers is the best" and yes, he definitely is, but let's not forget that chris evans had to go to therapy before taking the role, and declined it many times. lets not forget that this was a 6 movie commitment that he didn't want at first, but he agreed. we should all be thanking chris evans for bringing this role to the next level.
"Let's hear it for chris evans!"
"Lets hear it for steve rogers!"
"Lets hear it for captain america!"

One of the things I watched about MCU casting discussed how they tried to find actors who not only physically fit the part, but also had the personality traits of the characters. They talked about how that led them to Robert Downey Jr. for Tony Stark, and then listed all the traits they could think of for Steve Rogers. They eventually landed on Chris Evans. When they approached him for the role, he was reluctant. He said something to the effect of, "Guys, this all sounds great, but I don't think I'm your guy." They responded, "that's why you're our guy!"
Why did he go to therapy?
@@thecatfather857 the idea of being committed to 6 films over 10 years was pretty overwhelming for him
Duncan McGee Finally, I get an answer.
That’s strange. All those people that have done even more movies in that time and you never hear about them going to the therapy over it.
“No matter what happens tomorrow you must promise me one thing, that you will stay who you are, not a perfect soldier, but a good man.”
Probably the greatest MCU theme, and tragically only used for one movie.
Update: Marvel listened! It’s now used again in Endgame and Phase 4!
It's also used in Age of Ultron, at the beginning of Winter Soldier and when Loki takes Cap's appearance in Thor 2
This is the song that's most memorable to me. The only other songs I remember are parts of the Avengers theme in the Infinity War trailers are those rocking songs in Iron Man 1.
Nah avengers 2012
Rose Supreme I remember the iron man 1 theme from the first movie not the rock songs though

Captain America will always have the best trilogy of the MCU
JusayinGamin Captain America may not be as strong as Thor, Hulk, Captain Marvel or even slightly Iron Man. You don’t have to be a triple superhero to be a hero it all goes back to the heart.
amen to that
Tony Stark Okay?
Janhavi Kumthekar they’re both great heroes
Im a TeamIronMan
But this I agree, TWS and CW are MCUs most talked and debated movies, bcuz it questions peoples morality on whats right and wrong......... I love it
This HAS to be incorporated into Avengers 4. It's so bastard heroic its insane. Every time I hear it I have to find evil and fight it
Yeah dude honestly
Bruce Wayne or if they are mourning they could play 1:36 just for a subtle callback but it would break me 😂😭

Fezii Chris Evan’s contract with marvel ended with endgame. Also he tweeted about it.
Prof.Abraham Erskine :
"Good becomes great. Bad becomes worse. This is why you were chosen. Because a strong man, who has known power all his life, will lose respect for that power. But a weak man knows the value of strength, and knows compassion."
I'd allow that Erskine is the true founder of the Avengers.
“Not as a good soldier, but as a good man.”
Captain America will forever be my favourite superhero of all time.
The man was the embodiment of grit, courage, values, true strength and integrity.
On the decimated remains of the Avengers’ compound, with no reinforcements in sight, a lone soldier drags his battered body towards Thanos and his army of thousands. His shield, now torn in half, is held firmly on his now shaking arm. He knows this is his final stand, but not once does he back down; “whatever it takes” still fleeting in his mind. All of a sudden, a distorted radio transmission echoes on the battlefield:
“Cap, it’s Sam, can you hear me?”
"On your left"
chills, literal chills
Is this in the Novelization or something?
Always on your left
Also a beautiful payoff to “if I’m alone so be it, but I’m willing to bet I’m not.”
Cap is my favorite out of the original six
If Iron man is the face of Avengers, and you know the guy who invents, builds and pay for everything, Captain America is the heart.

Captain America and superman both are so inspirational that just by hearing the beginnings of their own theme songs you feel the urge to just get up and do something
When he stood up against thanos’s army by him self, it just made me cry like a baby, he knew that there’s no way in hell that he could beat all of thanos’s army by himself but he still stood up and strapped his shield because he simply doesn’t give up and will never give up until he dies, he will always be a legend
Rest in Peace Stan, This ones for you.

Stan didnt create Cap tho, Joe Simon and Jack Kirby made him. Stan wrote for Cap later on tho
Best avenger ever !
last night, i realized how hard steve’s life in the beginning was. i had never thought about how hard he had it. i always just loved Captain America for the greatest parts of his life. last night, i read through all these comments and i realized;
just how much pain and sorrow steve went through. and so i cried. i cried for the kid from brooklyn that started out as a nobody, to one of the bravest of the nation. just a skinny kid from brooklyn. a kid who had one friend. a kid who had big dreams and worked hard to achieve them.
a kid who wasnt a perfect soldier, but a good man.
To come to think of it, the world is in need of people like captain america. not a perfect human, but a good man
Well said
There are millions of them. But one group of people is calling them bigots and unintelligent, when they're the only ones left who understand fundamental rights, civil liberty, and wisdom. And the last ones defending it. All because media and politics to the Left have corrupted the truth.
Really, it’s to Silvestri’s credit that Cap’s theme (and even the Avengers theme) is comparable to the iconic song made by John Williams: the Superman theme song from the Reeve movies, the main Star Wars theme for Luke Skywalker, and Hedwig’s Theme for Harry Potter. It’s just perfect for the character. I’m honestly surprised they haven’t had him score more of the MCU.
"that Cap’s theme (and even the Avengers theme)"
Isn't the Avengers theme more iconic than Cap's theme?
This theme actually reminds me of the Superman theme.
kaizoisevil fanfare for the common man might have something to do with that
You should check out the All Might theme from the show My Hero Academia. Even if you dont care for the show itself or anime as a whole, All Might's theme and the United States of Smash OST are great pieces of music that also have a Superman vibe

God I love that a quicker version of this plays when Captain America lifts Mjolnir.

ramz when tony gave Steve his shield. I light up once I heard it
@@redhood2394 Yes I noticed that today, not when he picked up the hammer though
@@aftad It was pretty quick. Basically he catches it and there's a quick strings section (almost as if the film itself is surprised, just really good composing), then it plays the leitmotif version.
It wasn't this theme that played when he lifted it, but that exact same music played in the first avenger when he made the big jump over the fire in the exploding hydra facility
I love Cap's first film. The world and era he is part of. I also love phase 1 of the marvel films. This music is right up there for me in any soundtrack
He was always my favorite avenger ever since I was a little kid, everyone liked Spider-Man, Batman or Superman, but cap has stuck with me all these years. He’s my idol and my childhood wouldn’t be the same without him. I love you 3000

In avengers 4 they should have cap die heroically and play this theme at his funeral for the end of the movie. Tears will be shed

1.56 title card BROOKYLN
It shows tons of people standing outside and held back with gates and bodyguards
1.59 a shot of loads of people in the church including most of the avengers and people high up in the government

2.08 it shows Tony crying, in the audience Wanda crying and vision holding her, fury with captain marvel sad and about to cry and then a shot from the front of the church showing the rest of the avengers alive and well including the guardians all sad and you can even see Coulsin in the background

Cap has the best theme song in the MCU
Just watched Endgame again and when they played this it always so subtle, and made those scenes mean so much more like when Tony handed Cap the shield, and Steve said “I don’t know Tony” and Tony replies “Why, he made for it for you” and then at the end of the movie when Steve hands the Shield over to Sam and the emotions on Sams face made song feel that much more impactful.

The MCU does not have many memorable themes but this... Is amazing
@Bob Monopoly it makes you feel like joining the military
I cry every time I hear this theme. Steve Rogers represents something to all of us, but I think above all he stands for bravery, integrity, and goodness. His willingness to fight, to protect, to support is inspiring. I can't help but feel that if the world was full of more people like Steve Rogers it would be so much better. Steve gave me hope as a scrawny kid from the midwest. He was me. I owe so much to him. This fictional character I used to read in my comic book shop when I was 10 has inspired me more than I could have ever imagined. Be a Steve Rogers folks.
"Whatever happens tomorrow, you must promise me one thing. That you will stay who you are.
Not a perfect soldier, but a good man."
Captain America always was and always will be my 2nd favorite marvel character, only next to Spider-Man. Captain America is the definition of a superhero who stands up for what's right and for those who can't defend themselves!
Out of all the superhero theme songs this one is definitely the most inspirational one
Disagree, there's John William's Superman theme. But I respect your opinion.
Captain america has been my favourite superhero throughout my life, even before the movies came out. I read his comics and what read about him. Life is hard, especially for us who are looked down by society, but captain america has taught us to keep our heads high. He carries a shield because the captain protects us, people say ooo he's not cool he's not badass but you know what life isn't cool and it's not badass, best we can do is not give up and say, "I can do this all day". Also thanks Chris Evans for for wonderful portrayal.

This theme is back again in Endgame
And in Thor 2, Cap 2 Winter Soldier, Age of Ultron...

the way Chris Evans played Captain America, no actor ever managed to convey the feeling of being a superhero before! There are very good superhero movies, but there never was a superhero in the movies as Chris Evans represented Captain America!! He was born to play Him...
