He’s also the oldest being 1,500 years old. Meaning he is also the wisest. Who knows what else he’s been through before the first Thor movie. After all, he has lived for a very long time.
Considering the MCU time line takes place in a span of 10 years or so, and he became really worthy and wise starting Thor 1, we could say that he spent at least 1500 years unwise and arrogant XD even we humans don't take that long to figure out where we go wrong XD
Thor 1 is one of my personal favorites. I really did enjoy that at it's core, it was a story about two brothers, their father, and their mixed-up relationships. IMO, the best parts of Ragnarok were the scenes that carried those relationships forward. There's a reason Kenneth Branagh was willing to direct, he saw the very classic "Shakespearean" center of Thor's story and brought it to the forefront. It's a great example of the fact that people keep coming back to MCU films because they care about the characters and relationships. Infinity War wasn't devastating because the villain won, but because our heroes lost, and then they were gone. Thor 1 is definitely not the best MCU film, but it's type of story helped ground all the future ones in character interaction rather than plot spectacles.
