This is a technique I discovered on nioh 1 when I was a noob. This technique is really useful for skilling. I'm glad there are people demonstrating complex and useful techniques on yt. You're very good.
Your video orchestration is a masterpiece man! Well done! Very well done on the explanation and the visuals to go along with what you're explaining as well! Keep it up! Don't get anything else nerfed please! :D
damn the way game describes flux 2 makes it sound like its same as flux 1 but gives more ki, it doesnt explicitly tell you that you have to switch stances twice to get the bonus ki, thanks for the video!
I know! Never knew this til i saw this video... thanks! Guess i’ll have to start practicing yet another technique. Everytime i figure out something new and start practicing i find there’s yet another layer underneath it all. The complexities of this combat are truly exuberant and i love it lol!
Yea the wording in this game is confusing as fuck, I thought you just get more Ki from Flux but you have to switch stance again during a Flux to activate Flux II. That's some stupid ask bulllshit!
thank you for doing these excellent videos have been avoiding playthroughs and proper gameplay vids etc cause i've yet to play but i can't wait to try these techniques out when i finally get my hands on the game
Thanks for taking the time to make a video for us Nioh 2 Noobs. No wonder I am always running out of stamina. I have been playing wrong since I got this game last month lol. I would always wait until the white bar fills up and just press r1 and would not switch stances for the flux or flux 2 benefits. I only changed stances to change my attacks. Going to go practice this in the Dojo. Thanks again! 😃 This is much more complex than sekiro which I beat the other week. Sekiro is basically all about reading your enemies + reaction time & pressing the right button(s) to either block, deflect, dodge, jump or mikiri counter
Stance switching before ki pulsing to allow yourself Flux on your initial stance blew my mind. It seems like such an advanced technique. I practiced it right after seeing that and it's insane. Amazing video, you are truly skilled
its pretty useless mechanic because everyone just uses barrier talisman which is broken talisman in the game. there's zero reason to use flux 1 & 2. A big problem ki pulse system in nioh is that the more you attack, the more you need wait, but by waiting, you give opportunity for enemy to hit you. the basic issue is that doing short combos does no damage, but doing long combo's means that enemy will kill you. In nioh 1 there was no reason to learn it because living weapon gave you infinity stamina for attacking and in nioh 2, you just use barrier talisman. the reason why barrier talisman is broken in nioh 2 is because a lot of how they balanced many of their skills was to increase ki consumption so talisman made you gain more ki, more rapidly which translate into higher dps, but ki recovery is so crazy that most of weapons can just hold-block like dark soul great shields thus removing any need for dodge skill which is kinda stupid. it would be better if they reworked how ki pulse worked to fill bar instantly and whole principal of needing press 2 stances buttons is awkward to get double benefit. a single flux pulse should have same benefits as double stance ki pulse. lowers requirement of inputs and allows player to concentrate on their attack-combos & dodge attacks. the ki pulse system was just not very good because they decided to make enemies that had fast-repetitive combos that 1 shot you as part of game balance and that just doesn't work well with slow-paced ki-pulse system. in order for people counter it, people just ran loads of ki-damage oriented builds to stun-lock enemies to death or infinity-range builds with magic/ninjasu along with infinity Anima which took away a lot of nuisance in playing nioh 1/2. So skillful interaction such ki-pulse weren't there, but the cheese aspects were amplified and required to be successful.
could you make a guide on split staff , how to use them effectively , which secondary weapon is best suited , how to overcome the long recovery animation drawback of split staff etc
does fluxII work with the quick-sheat-animation of the Katana (to perform Iai-Quickdraw)? somehow the sheated stance seems to not count as a stance in general. Is there a trick to use the Iai-Animation as filler for flux II?
its similar to Spear flourish from spear, you have to wait for a small delay to make flux work. However, doing flux will not activate/chain unbroken passive effect with shoulder charge.
@@LasttoLoad Thanks. I’ve found (for me at least) it’s better to focus on initiating the passives and disengaging if things get hairy, with the gauntlets at least. Interested to see how this works on tonfas, haven’t played with them yet.
@@LasttoLoad thank you for the answer, I'm happy as long as it's possible. I was afraid that it was gonna be like tonfa where double Flux cancels the move 😁
Feels like everyone learns about this after 100s hours of gameplay. 250 for me lol. A basic skill that only the most dedicated can learn because TN failed to translate the description thoroughly enough.
@@LasttoLoad I don't have footage, it's just hearsay. Someone in the nioh 2 discord said it was possible, but every time I tried it I only gained ki back twice. I was wondering whether it was a known trick or whether they might be imagining things since they can't seem to get it consistently xD I'll ask them to provide footage if they can
Wow I'm a fucking noob at this game. Got to Abyss level 999 in Nioh 1, never knew about all this. Thanks a ton! You have like a million APM at the end there lol

Thanks, this technique is definitely overlooked in Nioh.

Yes, it surely seems underwhelming when not enough detail is shown w (which its why I have to reformulate how Flux work!)

Probably the best video on Flux and Flux II I have seen. Great job!
Every time someone complains about dark realm, I will send them this video, good job!
I think I am simply not good enough to do this though. I can do it but I have to concentrate so much that I stop attacking the enemy heh.
@@JoostShino Practice my friend, and lots of it XD It really needs to become second nature

You can actually practice this technique in Nioh 1! If you still have the game. You can transfer your experience to Nioh 2 just fine.
Awesome video, very well done and great explaination of how flux works. Great job

Its something valuable to learn early in nioh gameplay. its good that you are trying to get into it!
On top of the 10-20f of input delay on the “reactions.” I agree, nioh is an ocean deeper than sekiro. Though sekiro enemies are deeper than nioh’s
Thank you so much for doing this absolutely excellent and professional video. Best video hands down on Flux. Super appreciate.
Thank you! Flux is definitely one of the most valuable technique to learn in Nioh franchise, and strongly required to have a look into it!
Amazing best guide I've seen for this
This is an *incredible* resource. Thank you so much!
You're very welcome!
Appreciate the charts/visuals. Game me a much better understanding. Thanks!
The quality of this tutorial is superb.
really good video, and really good explanation. good job!

Good vid broo!!! Keep them coming! Learn new stuff from you
Excellent video! I'm still trying to learn the dash cancel but this technique is much much easier!
Sure, it can be easier, but applying in combat can be more complicated!
Damn that's so detail I'm gonna sub
Best tutorial man was awsome
What the hell? I am almost done with my first playthrough and i just realized that there is a flux 2

i cleared the depths10 without using Flux1 or 2
I did depths 30 without it, but still I want to learn it, just so difficult
I don't really understand it but ill try it when I play later, very well done video
Thanks for making the video. I see what I was doing wrong now.
Pooferlaama sent me.
Gr8 job with this video

there is a few. I suggest you to look into this video.

Any idea if this works with the combat related ki pulse skills i.e. pushing forward plus ki pulse with fists= shoulder charge?
its similar to Spear flourish from spear, you have to wait for a small delay to make flux work. However, doing flux will not activate/chain unbroken passive effect with shoulder charge.

How would i be able to utilize combo enders using your Flux method?
Do you mean your combo finisher? You can not flux while doing combo ender. Only flux and do short combo for combo ender.
@@LasttoLoad Yeah, the combo finishes, my bad.
When u flux do you hold both buttons r1 and triangle at the same time or do u hold r1 and then press triangle after?
You hold r1 to Ki pulse. During Ki pulse, you press triangle to flux (if ytou started ki pulse in other stance than triangle:High Stance)
great video! I have a question, I'm using fist, can I double Flux while using rising gale?
You can flux with Rising Gale, but there is a small delay before doing double flux properly.

Bro omg yes. I literally beat both games 3x apiece before I (just now) realized this is what flux 2 is.
I have about 400 hours and I have to yet learn it, it's so hard!
This is probably an obvious question but is it possible to triple flux?
Never heard of it. Flux ll (aka double flux) is what we have atm. Do you have footage showing how it looks like?
@@LasttoLoad I don't have footage, it's just hearsay. Someone in the nioh 2 discord said it was possible, but every time I tried it I only gained ki back twice. I was wondering whether it was a known trick or whether they might be imagining things since they can't seem to get it consistently xD
