great video tutorial ....... I finally learn it . but not as fast you do ... Do you know sometimes , my character doesn't roll like a circle, instead just dodge to one diretion ?
Pressing those input individually is harder to perform evasion cancel. Instead, I recommend sliding your thumb in between X and O (while holding R1 during dodge). If you are sheathing your weapon on the spot, then you successfully evasion cancel. That would be the first step to know how evasion cancel work. Next phase is to know how to perform evasion cancel in quick succession. Timing is important to do it consecutively (which its why I still recommend to slide your thumb for this tech). It is not recommended to do it too fast either since you can disrupt the timing for it. You have to follow the rhythm depending to your character speed until you get it right. At that point, you will need to learn how to use your thumb as well as your finger to press those input properly. *Holding Block is needed to Evasion cancel in quick succession Practice!
What a wonderful video! I've been having a problem with the fist evasion attack, I don't like it very much. I'd like to immediately perform a skill like you did in the video. However, I'm playing on PC with keyboard and mouse, so it's hard for me to understand what you're doing. Is it dodge, then quickly input sheathing and guard?
I have seen ur no damage video. Its pretty good, kudos to that. You should make a video on how to dodge incoming attacks and how to approach each majority of the situation and attack etc. Many people would benefit from that. Keep up the work
@@deepjyotideb1173 I can not tell what are the input for keyboard since I play on ps4 mostly, but the process must be definitely the same to know what to press for evasion cancel. L1=block R1=ki pulse O=action/sheathing weapon X=dodge so the input goes as follow: block (hold)> dodge> Ki pulse + sheath> *repeat* L1(hold) > X > R1+O If done successfully, you should be having shorter evasion animation.
I already knew this trick, I actually should’ve made a video about it but I was too lazy uploading other videos instead. So thank you for uploading this to your channel instead.
this might be a bit late , but I've been practicing this tech for the last few hours. I can do it quickly but it's not very consistent. is there anyway that I can practice my timing and develop muscle memory? also I want to know , when you do this tech in quick succession can you describe the initial position of the thumb? is it directly on the x button or in between the x and the circle button?
best way to do it consistently is to keep doing it during fight to make this tech become second nature to your gameplay. As for your thumb positioning, I usually have my middle thumb directly on the X, then slide to O while pressing R1. At one point, you will start to slightly approach your thumb to O while being ready to press X.
This technique is especially useful for Dual Sword Sign of the Cross build, not exactly the same input but they share the same idea about cancel animation. But how is this really helpful on other weapon?
Evasion Cancel allows you to recover faster from your evasion animation (which removes a part of the evasion attack trigger). Doing so will put you into a neutral stance faster so that you can to use other attack such as skills and basic that can deal higher ki dmg and/or dmg, or faster attack in a tight opening.
Hi LtL, I'm having some hard time trying to replicate this, I perfectly understand how it works, but the time between: (Hold L1), X, R1+O then X again is the wall that I face... I'm having success when I input: (Hold L1), X, X, R1+O and so on, but its not that effective :( Any tips?
You may be doing it too fast with the input. You have to find the right timing by slowing down the input first and learn when to press it. Remember that mov speed buff can affect your timing so it is best to start with base movement speed.
QRD88 I got it, but it seems you need to wait for the whole evasion animation to play out, which will allow you to hold your guard to do the skill, but r1+O truncates the evasion animation so it is a better method
A agility have fewer ki cost () in dodging, attacking and sprinting. They also have greater range of dodging. the disadvantage is that A agility lose more ki if blocking from an attack and have lower toughness (resulting more ki dmg received).
@@LasttoLoad thanks! this skill is so hard to perform smoothly ;_; when I X>R1+O sometimes my character been idle or blocking moving btw evasions. Any tips on this or just practice more xD
