There's an unfortunately high amount of bad information in this video. Please do not rely on this information to make decisions about the AFLS or guide your assessment choices. Examples: number of assessment protocols (there are 6), the authors (Partington and Mueller- not Sundburg as suggested here), age of relevancy (probably 8ish, not for 2 year olds!), and the credentials for administration... this trainer says bachelors degree is required, NO credential is required! The AFLS can and should be used by parents, teachers, caregivers, and others who know the learner! This training is chalked full of inaccuracies.
Question: Are you said coauthor of the AFLS (Dr. Michael Mueller), or was that a coincidence? If so, how fun! 🙂I do want to quote the AFLS Guide (Version 1.2, 2016) on the age point, since it mentions 2 years old as the lower-bound age for this assessment: "The AFLS is an appropriate assessment tool for people ranging in age from approximately 2 years old throughout the lifespan" (Partington & Mueller, 2016, p. 9).
