Thanks for the video. I have 5 months root growth of grey & silver. My ends are bleached and whilst I am transitioning, I have used bright pink semi permanent (Bleach London-Pinkissimo) on my ends ( I have long hair). It’s really fun and fades to a lovely pastel shade.
I finally have a decent bob length - 100% all natural grey hair going - last time I put a toner on my hair it destroyed it, dried it out and its taken a yr to recover. I would highly recommend never doing anything on virgin hair without a strand test- just one strand before you put anything on your hair, see if it is right for you.
Exactly! It's crucial to do a strand and a patch test prior to using such colours or toners. Specifically, the strand test must be in these steps: 1. Application of colour on washed hair. 2. Keep it on hair for the time as instructed on the product. 3. Rinse with plain water( cold/lukewarm) 4. Evaluate according to your wash routine and see how many washes it takes to come out completely or to know if it never washes out. 5. Go with the strand test results and then decide if that product is going to work for you or not.
Try Arctic Fox. It is a temporary-conditioner with pigments. It fades in about 10-15 shades. I have white hair and learned to add some yellow in order to get the colors described. The white base does not have the blonde undertones that the manufacturer assumes you have
Semi permanent dye RUINED my gray hair. It stains & DOES NOT wash out after a few washes. I used Colorista & Creme of Nature. 💁🏽♀️ I went naturally gray, around 3 years ago now (2019). Cold turkey. My hair is a natural very dark brown & almost tailbone length. I stopped putting semi permanent dye, last November. I tried MANY ways to get the color out. I found Go Gray Revitalizing Treatment. It worked the best for me. I used 2 boxes, alternating weekends. I am stuck with 3-4 inches of new growth, a brownish color (last color was magenta) and a lavender look towards the ends. Yes, I could get my hair cut, but it would be 2 inches long. I decided to love my hair as is. I deep condition twice a month. I will just have 1-2 inches cut off, at a time. I only get my hair cut once a year. EACH TO HIS OWN🙋🏽♀️Good luck on your gray journey, should you decide to do so.
I am so sorry to know this happened to your hair. But there are several reasons that the colour may not wash completely. Damaged and bleached hair specifically absorb colour a bit deeper and may penetrate the cortex. Colour brands also give different results. It’s crucial to do a patch and a strand test prior to the colour. Also check if the colour comes out after the washes indicated on the dye box and then apply the colour. Hope it helps. Thanks for watching the video. I am glad you are here. 😊

I’m in transition (cold turkey)since 10 months…my lower parts still have the lightened dye…so I’m wondering if I can use these lovely semi permanent colours which so beautiful on your bob..❤
Yep, sure you can go for it. Whatever colour you decide to wear just make sure to do a strand test means apply the colour wait for a few days and see how it fades and does it fades out completely. It’s because dyed tips of hair are more porous and damaged so it might stain the hair.
Your hair looks amazing . I have a query about the paradyes . On their website they mention that it won’t stay on gray hair !! But on your hair the colour shows ? I am in grow out phase and I was thinking about using semi permanent hair colour .
Thanks Nikitha. It’s true semipermanent colours don’t stay on any hair. It just washes out I about 15-20 washes depending on the intensity of colour like blue can stay a bit longer and may take several washes. Also hair health matters. Like your hair must not be too dry, frizzy or porous else the dye may stain the hair and may take several washes to get off. My hair is back to it’s original colour now and all the colours are completely washed out. Hope it helps.
@@sparklingsilvers Your grey transformation video really helped me to decide to go grey. I am 5 months without root touch-up now and enjoying the salt and pepper look. Following this video, I used the Paradyes Blue Cyan color on my hair. After keeping for an hour, I shampooed and my hair just got a hint of blue color, so I was very disappointed with Paradyes color :-(. Should I have not shampooed? Is it ok to just use the conditioner?
@@DNuttyGrains Yes you are right. Shampoo was not required after the colour application as shampoo washes out the colour. Sometimes the colour is also not visible on salt and pepper hair(more on pepper side)
Hey Anjana, I checked the semi permanent colours you’ve included in the description box and found that they aren’t on Amazon India ! Really disappointing as I feel they must be made in India going by their ingredient description… Looks like you are posting from the US… Love the lovely videos you make…❤️
Hi, the links given in the description point towards Amazon.com. You can get those products from Amazon India too. Just search for the products on Amazon India.
Hi I bought the blue color you used on Amazon for my greying roots. This is the first time I used semi-dye. I followed the directions and kept it in for 60 minutes and washed out with cold water. I was shocked that all the blue washed out. Maybe there was a tinge of white blue on a few strands. Please any advice? Thank you so much for this channel! I don’t want to keep using permanent dye. I don’t know if I should go with a different brand? My hair is naturally black, straight. 🙏❤️
It might be you must not be having that much of grey hair for the colour to be noticeable. The visibility of colour in a few strands is difficult to notice.
I have the same problem. I've dyed my hair weird colours s lot in the past with god results. But now trying to dye over my grey hair just isn't working. The dye isn't taking anymore. I was hoping to get tips on actually getting the colour to *take* on grey hair from this video, but no luck :(
Never! Semipermanent colours don’t penetrate deep into the hair shaft. They washes out completely in a few washes. Coming out of the colour completely depends on the health of hair, porosity and other factors. But it comes out completely!
Dear one thank you I ask bc I grew my grey out for 16 months abd became bored with it and had demi permanent put in last week and I dont kike it at all. what can I do?
Either the colour might be semipermanent or temporary that washes out in a few washes. Semipermanent takes time and fades away in about 20 washes and temporary colours in 1-2 washes. The choice is yours. Brad mondo and overtone colours are the best one and trustworthy.
Hi Abhishek, why to take stress. Just keep on colouring your hair till you are not ready to give up the hair dye. Thanks for watching the video, I am glad you are here. 😊
If someone loves you for you then the grey hair will not bother them. Hoever if YOU feel better dyeing your grey hair, then go for it. I have salt and pepper hair. Some days Ilike the natural highlights of the grey, other days l feel l just want it all dark again. But honestly, i get an irritated scalp and the grey comes through in 3 weeks, so it got to a point where in lock down l just let it stay salt and pepper. New baby grey hairs tend to be frizzy, l wish l could find a solution to calm them down lol.

Doesn’t the colour stain your hand/fingers ?
Yes it does! But washes out completely in a day.
I love it! I have purple on my tips and I love it too. When it fades the color does not reurn to grey.
Your hair is super cute!! You give me hope that when the greys take over, I can have fun hair again.
Thanks! Yes, you can always have fun even after ditching the permanent dye.😃

What beautiful grey!

Did you keep some time between applying the two/three colours ?
Thanks
