I have been doing daily live streams, on TikTok, here in Japan and Vietnam almost every day for up to 3 hours. I don't use a fan on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. It was 107+ degrees F in Tokyo all throughout August. Even hotter in Da Nang and I walked up/down the beach and rode around on my moped (I don't hold the gimbal).
Can you use one phone and use dual SIMs (which are on different carriers)? Or...could you just take your unlimited data SIM from your main phone and put it in the second phone, then connect from streaming phone to second phone via WiFi? Or would you need a dedicated mifi router?
Usually dual SIM phones only have one cellular radio, so, they can't use both carriers at the same time. The other options you're talking about are perfectly feasible - we're actually using a second phone and connecting to it via Wi-Fi from the streaming phone.
this works well using one for chat and hotspot and the other with data always on just incase of course make sure they are 2 different networks with the best coverage of the areas you intend to go in
Thanks for uploading this video :) I recently purchased the exact model gimbal as yours shown in the video. Do I have to utilize the mimo app in order to use its full functionality? TY
Hi! It's a yes and no actually. So to connect and calibrate the gimbal you'll need the Mimo app, but otherwise you can use any other streaming app and the gimbal will act the same (once connected)!
Good question - you don't need to keep the DJI app open, you just need to open the app to connect the gimbal and after that you can open up whatever streaming app you're using and the gimbal should continue stabilizing your phone
3:58 it is easy to fix an splitter. I do that often, so i can use røde wireless mic AND loading my phone at the same time with an powerbank.
adding to our wish-list IMMEDIATELY
Thanks for sharing!! I hate losing connection
Awesome software solution!, Ill be trying it this days and come to test it!
Thank you for the info! 📱 🎥
Wow never knew this thanks for the advice I'm going to be doing IRL streaming soon!
Do you know how long you can livestream from iPhone? I know DSLR’s tap out at 30 mins.
we've been able to go for 45 minutes to an hour! it really depends on the temperature and battery level of the iPhone
@@Speedify I just bought a phone cooler. Hope it lasts!
@@ontherailmedia fingers crossed!!!

@@BudCowmenthanks for the feedback. I didn’t use a fan but was rolling under shade for 5 hours. Everything was fine 👌🏼

@@Speedify I understand now and thanks again!
But if you are streaming to say twitch kick or Facebook. How do you use a gimbal when you need the DJI app open?

@@Speedify thanks. I thought you had to be in the app for it to work. I’ll give it a try and see how it goes.
The Problem is can you use any of the wireless mics while charging the phone or how are you going to stream 4-8 hours without charging the phone ?
We use Magsafe Chargers and battery packs to keep the lightning port open for the mic
@@Speedify yeah im on an Android thats the problem and wireless charging is mostly not fast enough
@@Asche5558 does your phone have a headphone jack?
@@Speedify s23 ultra so sadly no
