If they had used the metal virus to turn Bowser's army into robot zombies, Sage could've probably had control over most of Bowser's troops (Before Bowser or Kamek uses their magic to heal everyone that is)

I said on the dbw discord right after watching this episode that i genuinely wasn't sure whether this or bill vs Discord was my third favorite of the show On rewatch, not only has it surpassed that episode, but it also surpassed all might vs might guy for my second favorite.I still slightly prefer gvs 3 becaus the climax to that is outright my favorite moment in the entire show, but this came insanely close to topping it, and i would not be surprised if i ended up preferring this episode in the future

Though I suppose we need some humor and levity after watching Giorno get incinerated by a bullet the size of a car and Bowser reducing Eggman's army to ashes after seeing his son get throttled by a very spiky spinning ball.

He should have easily been able to tank bowser’s punches. This fight was rigged, the second metal sonic got his hands on the chaos emeralds Eggman should have won. And if you think he should’ve been disintegrated by bowser’s star powered beam. That would be bull too bc he scales to sonic in the fact that sonic survived a beam from the end. I think that, given the way the fight was set up, Eggman should have won. I mean, at first, I thought it was just going to be Eggman and his robots, and in that case, Bowser would definitely win. But in this fight, it was Eggman, Metal Sonic, Sage, Infinite, and they even gave him the Chaos Emeralds and the Phantom Ruby. I think in this scenario, Eggman should have absolutely won. For example, the Phantom Ruby can create infinite copies of Eggman's mechas, Metal Sonic, and confuse Bowser’s entire army. In the fight, they didn’t even use Chaos Control, which would’ve been an instant win for Eggman. There’s also the issue that Infinite and Metal Sonic could wipe out Bowser's entire army, with the only real threats being Bowser himself, Kamek, and Bowser Jr. Another thing is that it seems absolutely ridiculous that Bowser survives a cannon powered by all 7 Chaos Emeralds. If the fight had only been Eggman and his robots vs. Bowser, Bowser would definitely win, but that wasn’t the case. Here it was the entire Eggman empire, Infinite, Metal Sonic, Sage, and he even had the Chaos Emeralds and the Phantom Ruby.
