    I find WISE card to be very convenient and a money saver. We purchase a house in UK and encounter the same problem. It took 1 week for the bank to release to the seller.

    What beach towns in Albania do you recommend most for Americans to invest in?

    • @WarrenJulieTravel
      @WarrenJulieTravel  2 месяца назад +1

      We shy away from recommending investing, but we encourage people to check out Vlore, Sarande and Durres for longer term stays.
      These are the cities with the most popular beaches on the Albanian Riviera. There are smaller less known places too.

    Around the 5 minute mark you mentioned using notes for pins and passwords. You are better off using a password manager.
    The most common way people get hacked is they use the same login and password for everything. Then a company gets hacked you have an account with. Now your email address (generally the login) and password is compromised. They can use the email account to recover other account details as the email is often used as a way to recover your other accounts.
    With a password manager you can have unique passwords for each account and you use 1 master password to access all of your unique passwords.

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I have used a pw manager in the past. Thanks for watching us 😃

    Question: 1. Have you considered just keeping your money in the US and do withdrawals for cash only as needed? Pro vs Cons? I bought a house in Italy and have to date ever need much of any cash when there (use Schwab also). Just use CC for everything and even gas/electric/garbage tax get paid online via CC from the US. 2. Have you ever had any issues with Chase or any other CC bank trying to cancel your CC because it has not being used in the US for several months? Heard from someone they cancelled one of his cards without notice because he had only used it continuously outside of the US 3. Are you getting a business locally in Montenegro now for car/insurance purposes?? If so, can you please forward me info on the process or lawyer used as I am interest in doing the same due to the rules in Italy for car ownership.

      We do keep a checking account in the United States.
      We transfer monies from that account to our international account as needed. There are several countries that are more cash societies and will not allow you to use credit cards for everything.
      we have not had any issues with any credit card companies, trying to cancel us because of not being in the United States.

      Thanks. I was asking specifically about Montenegro for the car/business info. It’s a ferry ride from Italy and likely a place I’d spend at least a month yearly. I’ve seen your other videos about the other 2 options, so thanks for making thosw

    Still don’t understand what a vpn is and how to put it on your computer and phone.

    • @WarrenJulieTravel
      @WarrenJulieTravel  2 месяца назад +1

      We had so much ground to cover yesterday that we did not cover certain basics.
      A VPN connection establishes a secure connection between you and the internet. Via the VPN, all your data traffic is routed through an encrypted virtual tunnel. This disguises your IP address when you use the internet, making its location invisible to everyone. A VPN connection is also secure against external attacks.
      It’s very easy to install as an app on a smartphone or smart TV. We have our VPN on our phones and laptops.
      I hope this helps answer your questions.

    Sounds like too much trouble to buy property in Montenegro and/or engage in large bank transfers in that area

    • @WarrenJulieTravel
      @WarrenJulieTravel  2 месяца назад

      It’s worth the hassle, but I’m told much of these issues are most of Europe as well. So not to single out Montenegro exclusively.

    Isn’t 13 bucks on $200 a 6.5% rate. Is that a fair exchange rate?

    • @ericmcclintock7685
      @ericmcclintock7685 2 месяца назад

      How much of the $13 was just a bank fee?

    • @WarrenJulieTravel
      @WarrenJulieTravel  2 месяца назад +1

      It was €200 we took out which was $213 so that is €1 = $1.065 USD so I think you were implying a $13 fee that is the difference between € and $ without a fee. That is 0% charges for the withdrawal

    why not just send funds from your account overseas to the seller's account in the country you are buying in?

      This is what we did, it’s getting money into our overseas account to be able to use that is the obstacle.
