Hi there! I have a recommendation/request regarding specifically the 7900X3D, yes the 7900 not the 7950. I would like to see 2 additional models of the 7900X3D, specifically as follows: - 12Core, 8Cores + VCahe plus 4 Cores (In cases where case on more cores is helpful and you also want additional overclocking headroom on the remaining 4 cores) - 12 Cores, 4 Cores + VCache and 8 Cores These would be a nice complement to the normal model with 6cores + VCache and 6 Cores. These should actually help with binning in some situations.

Honestly i don't find this processor that attractive. The reality of the 3D cache being only on one chiplet means special threading considerations have to be considered and relying on tools to intelligently enable/disable. I think i'd rather have the non 3D cache 7950X and never have to worry about the cache.

You don't know that when there are no reviews of it. I seriously doubt that a 450$ CPU would outperform a 700$ CPU, no matter how binned your 7800X3D might me.

It will be near enough as fast in games. The 7800X3D only has one CCX while the 7950X3D has two (with only one having V-Cache on it). Therefore the latter relies on software scheduling to decide which CCX to use and at what time. So for absolute gaming performance you won't need more than the 7800X3D (hell you wouldn't need more than a 7600X3D if it existed). Actually because of the software scheduling the 7800 is faster in some games per Hardware Unboxed's review and simulation of it because it doesn't have to switch between CCXs. That's why they haven't released the 8 core model. Because AMD know everyone would gun for that over the 16 core model because in games they'd perform identically or within margin of error.
You guys missed the bus. I bought the regular 7950 a couple months ago. Oh well You could have gotten a few extra hundred smackers from me but you dropped the ball.

Its a lot faster in games that utilizes the 3d cache and will become faster in other games once they start to use it as well. And if budget is the issue then nothing beats 5800x3d.
