      @@gameplayfirst6548 The 14900K is basically an overclocked 13900K. Stop telling people to pay more for roughly the same performance. Bad advice. And you know extra cache boosts 1% lows I'm sure, which is why the 7800X3D and 7950X3D do very well.

    • @vigilant_1934
      @vigilant_1934 Месяц назад

      The 13900K is solid but be careful about the auto settings in the motherboard BIOS which may make it unstable overtime. Just power limit it to about 250 watts or less (220 watts should honestly be fine and not limit performance too much and be safer). The 14900K is the exact same architecture, the exact same process node, the same core count with slightly higher clocks and higher power for a higher price. The 7950X or X3D is also a good option and the 3D especially will use quite a bit less power than the 13900K for most tasks. With the Ryzen 9's you get the add benefit of being able to upgrade to something more powerful in a few years whereas Intel's LGA 1700 platform is done after 14th gen (which is really just a refreshed 13th gen since they couldn't get Meteor Lake on desktop which was supposed to be 14th gen and that would've better and more efficient).

      How is Intel way better for gaming? AMD's 3D V cache chips are the fastest on the market and use literally half the power of Intel's CPUs that are close in performance. Who have you been watching or listening to? Just watch any Hardware Unboxed video on it or Gamers Nexus or read Tech Spot, Tech Power Up or even Tom's Hardware (who some say are pro Intel) and they all show AMD leading in gaming for less money. It's not a huge lead except in games that love the extra cache but even the 7950X3D can run a game at say 70-80 watts while the 14900K might use 140-150 watts (seriously smh). The 7900X is a solid 24 thread CPU though so you're already good with that there.

    The 7950x3d is not better for gaming. What really matters are the 0,1% and 1% lows in 4K for a high end gaming system. And the core scheduling and overall performance of 14900k results in better performance from Intel CPUs in that area. Scheduling is also a "work in progress" (you can even optimize it yourself with tools like Process Lasso) as it is in part controlled by XBOX Game Bar and I trust Intel engineers for faster improvements than AMD, who always had problems with their drivers and software. Intel also has less power consumption in idle and low performance tasks like surfing - so if gaming and high performance tasks are not you main usage and you surf a lot with your system, you may end in lower or equal energy bills with Intel.
