- Hello everyone,
In this video I will show you how to install macOS Ventura & Sonoma on your AMD laptop (or desktop). This video will focus on AMD laptops with APUs such as CPUs with iGPUs. Running macOS on AMD laptops is now possible thanks to NootInc, the creator behind the NootedRed iGPU kext.

Great guide! Even though I already had a working hackintosh, I knew something was off about it. Using your guide, I mapped the USB ports, and voila, now my bluetooth is working, as well as everything else. Thank you for the guide
Such a great guide ty for this and also if anyone gets stuck at this message "USBToolBox: XHC: waitForMatchingService failed or timed out" just set "UEFI->Quirks->ReleaseUSBownership" to True with ProperTree and it should boot

Thank you! Some of the guides through which I went, this is probably the best and detailed, using which I got everything sorted on my laptop(ryzen 5500u), excluding the known issue of microphone.

@@Kikato280 iservices not working, but i haven't not tried hard to fix those yet, i'll do it later, and the laptop was heating too much, so following nootedred's guide i removed cpu and power management related kexts, removing helped but not upto much extent

Thank you so much for this guide. I followed everything just as you said and installed macOS. And I enabled I service and my webcam works perfectly. But my microphone is not working, audio out is working perfectly. Is there any solution for this ?. And i am not sure but my laptop fan is spinning at higher rpm than in windows i used the AMD power gadget, and set the frequency to minimum, and that really does the job to some extent. But rebooting the laptop will revert the settings to normal. Is there any thing i should do tho solve this. Thank you again for the guide 😊

Help, patches.plist doesnt open. I tried it another way and it says „The Code execution cannot proceed because python38.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem“

@@dewasbasnett3573 First copy the sample.plist from opencore/docs folder and rename it config.plist. Then use this config.plist to patchMerge.bat command windows. once the merge is over in the ssdttime result folder where you got the .aml file, there will be new config.plist file. now replace this config.plist file with your config.plist file

The autor patches the config.plist from EFI\OC and in 18:08 in the terminal you can see "Saving too: ....\SSDTTime-master\Results" but till the rest of the video he doesn't touch the config.plist that was saved, he works on EFI\OC without replacing it with the new one from "\SSDTTime-master\Results"...

I was able to get mine working but the main problem is hardware acceleration, in chrome, it freezes when I lod it but when it finally ran I disabled its hwaccel but I can’t use discord at all? Is there a fix? (Ryzen 4600g Vega 7 graphics)

I have installed hackintosh on my laptop and it's been almost two months. But the battery life is soo bad and the laptop is heating up fast and the fan kicks in just after opening chrome or Safari. I think there is some problem with the power management kexts that you provided. Are you facing the same issue ? . The Nootedred guide now says that some of the kexts like AmdRyzenpowermanagemet.kext and a few others should be removed and leave the kernel to do the job. What is your opinion on this, should I remove those kexts. And if it is possible please make a tutorial on changing this configuration to the latest ones as said in the Nootedred guide. You can find the things to be changed in the First page of his guide. Please help
Take note. use py instead of using the word python in shell or cmd to make it work
I love you man! I followed this guide to the letter and I finally got MacOS Ventura to install on my Asus ROG Advantage Edition 2021. WiFi and Bluetooth are working, only thing I noticed it's a little slow. And my CPU is recognised as an Intel i5 rather then AMD Ryzen 5900HX what it really is. Do you have any idea why is that and how can I fix it? One last thing I have to try is install the NootedRed for the GPU but I will do that later. If you have any advise please tell me :)
Installing Nootedred should fix the cpu name and improve performance
@@akvaithi NootedRed only fixed the iGPU and it's now recognised, although only with 512MB VRAM. The CPU still shows as Intel i5 or Xeon no matter what ProcessorType number I write or that SMBIOS I put into the config.plist. Do you have any idea how to fix this?

Hi, i have a problem, everything is been great since i tried to boot the ventura throught the usb, it shows the usb as a boot option but when clicking on it it wont show me the Mac option, just to options that say windows, and when triying to move anything a new window appears with the bitlocker key restoring, do you know why this happens?, secure boot is disabled and i created a new custom boot but it wont work. Thank You :: )

yes i had this doubt, i asked in discord server amd os x, and i used the file in results folder and pasted it in efi/oc and worked on it

Awesome guide! I having troubles with a Dell Inspiron 15 3525 (Ryzen 5 5625U), the internal display does not work, it only works with an external HDMI display. I can see some changes applying the DSDTTime OC Patches, which I was omitting. After applying patches now if I boot with the external monitor, the external monitor shows up as the second monitor but the internal display is still not working. Do you have any ideas? Thanks!

@@akvaithi I'm running the Smokeless_UMAF tool. At the PBS Options, I have DP0 where I can choose EDP, DP or HDMI, and DP1, where I can choose DP or HDMI. There are no others settings related to the EDP. By default the EDP is assigned to DP0. Any suggestions or ideas? By the way, I'm afraid of missing the regular bios, because of the warnings related to dell's laptop users. But I found no way to delete misc options by accessing to the tool's boot manager... But I think I can reflash the bios with a programmer if something happens. Thanks for your time!

To make Google chrome working run this on terminal

I happen to have an issue, where after I boot to windows my internal keyboard on laptop wont work, but when before I boot anything works perfectly. Any fix would be appreciated.
Restarting the laptop should fix it. I sometimes have this issue too but I haven’t found a permanent solution

I made the usb drive and everything. but when i boot from usb it does not give me the option to load the usb. opencore automatically launches windows, because windows is the only choice. can someone please help me?

How stable is the system? How well does the animation work? The limitations when using Ryzen are known, but what are the limitations due to the APU?
There are very few limitations such as some Adobe apps not working, but for day to day use everything is stable.
APU limitations: OpenGL applications(not all, but most will run poorly or crash the system), inability to control coolers.

If anyone else got a bootloop, try checking if your VRAM isn't set to below 512MB. Mine was to 16MB. When I changed to 1GB, it booted.

Just use your USB which you used to install macos, to boot into the Hard drive. Then open your efi and remove that. Done

Make sure you use the correct ethernet driver from opencore, I don’t include ethernet in the video since I only used WiFi

Use the Ventura Airportitlwm kext in the installer
doesn‘t work but i managed to progress with Horndis.kext and android phone hotspot via cable. After that i got stuck at the installation where it says „less than a minute remaining“.

Brother i followed everything but im stuck in the part where i need to boot from the usb i get a error saying: OC: Grabbed zero system-id for SB, this is not allowed Haiting on critical error.

i just fixed it now brother!!! but i have a second problem: in the OpenCore Boot Menu i only get 1 Windows but not 2 macOS maybe i did something worng in the process but idk.
i fixed this too but i have this problem now that its that i dont see the NVRAM reset option and also is missing from my config.plist from the securty part

It depends on your needs, if you want to run apps only available for macOS, then a hackintosh is better

@@raikoo5714 I used another usb and redid my whole efi my venture recovery image also got corrupted so you just have to use a new usb and redownload your recovery dmg and make sure you set secure boot model to disabled instead of default

Realtek Wifi card do not work. Replace it with Intel or Broadcomm
It boots up to the installer and when i install it stucks on 13 minutes remaining and mouse also freezes any suggestions to fix this please help me. I have followed guide through the video and generated ssdts, mapped usb ports and generated smbios too but installer got stuck please help me.

Did you try connecting the laptop to the power then turning it on then off then on. I mean not the laptop but the power supply. If it is not stuck then you would hear the battery charging sound if that happens then most probably the stuck will be gone.
@@anniepushparaj2594 It’s not the power problem. My ssd is not supported So I have ordered a new compatible one. It was stuck because of kernel panics due to my pm981a ssd.

When booting the USB drive, unplug any usb devices like mice and keyboard

No you need internet in recovery. In order to make it work use the Ventura airportitlwm kext version. If that does not work try using ethernet
I can’t get further than the recovery on my Ryzen 5 5500u. It’s too laggy and it takes forever to do any action like formatting the disk and pressing continue. Sometimes it stuck at examining volumes. Does anybody have a solution for this issue?
Try the AMD TSC SYNC kext

Yes you can partition and you can use Vega 7

Try the NVMeFix.kext, it’s on the OpenCore website

Edit: I check the device manager and it say "Standard SATA AHCI Controller"
