- This is it, the threat theme for Wrayk's Stormy Coast mod, specifically the rainy version. The other downpour slugcats will have their own threat themes (as of now, they are just remixes of the rainy threat). I decided to tackle this more like a singular track than just individual layers mixed differently. This also allows me to include a special remixed portion to give something new.

I would say this is too heavy for Rain World music, but tbh, this fits it completely. The extra depth is the even more apocalyptic rain you face constantly.

Have you tried the mod with the music? Maybe in game it fits well, can't really know without testing

man this has such phenomenal ambience, the bassy layers are so heavy and rich, and the strings are a very unique and cool addition...

Though It's really a matter of filling the gaps. Mixing in melodies of multiple octaves with a strong bass and percussion accompaniment. And with the track playing in the lower ranges, it fits along with the thunder and rain in game.
As someone whose literally never heard of Rain World until two days ago, I'm absolutely loving this! The vanilla game's ost is already great, but then YT decided to give this to me. It almost gives me Sulphurous Sea vibes lol.
I absolutely love dm dokuro's music, and kinda model a lot of my music after the grandeness of his tracks. I'm glad that you'd find any resemblance between my music and his.
And sulfurous sea theme, infestation, fly of beezlebub are bangers. DOG is top tier though.

the only variant of this joke that I can respect. No emoji spam, and the general vibe is pleasant
I love how the percussion in this track sounds like rain drops, the low, droning synth horns sounds like a boat engine purring, and the higher pitch synth horns sound like... well... fog horns. Even though it's very different to most of the vanilla threat themes in Rain World, it fits Stormy Coast so well.

This is one of my favourite workshop regions added so far, and your music feels like the perfect compliment to the abandoned harsh coast that it has become, I greatly enjoyed it!

The bass drum rolls sound like thunder
The part at 3:07 sounds like a flooding crystal cave
And the part at 3:36 sounds like a lone pirate captain sailing the seven seas in an old pirate boat during a severe thunder storm
This is AMAZING, I've been wanting to do raining versions of themes for awhile now and this is the perfect inspiration for it
Also the music itself and the music is BEAUTIFUL, not super accurate to game style BUT WHO CARES IT'S AMAZING

@@jessiesowter ty!! This was track was very challenging, but fun to make. I had to be really careful to mix between my style and rain worlds style while also making it fit to the region.
The coast was indeed stormy
the background instruments and percussion add so much, they manage to somehow make me FEEL humid like it's currently raining (and where i am in louisiana when it rains it rains HARD, so that's a funny coincidence)

god i love this track so much, absolutely my favorite fan track ive ever listened to, it gives me this impossible and imposing vibe of whichever Slugcat dares braving it, staring up at its decripit machinery and drapping wires wrapping around it so elegantly yet so unnaturally. a heavy downpour drentching its slime coated fur as it knows, once it enters, there's no turning back. it throws its spear to its side, almost brandishing it as if to warn the creatures _it_ will face of _it's_ arrival and begins to ascend one of the incomprehensibly large signal towers, or to such a simple creature not knowing of the regions origin, just another obstacle to face, another mountain to climb. it's now or never. its time to face head on, The Stormy Coast.

I totally agree that it isnt as fitting for the other versions, that's why other threats for the other scug specific changes are being made. Some by me, and some by other musicians.

This song got me to play the mod lol! I was so hype whenever this music came on! Rainworld is usually a low music game, so when music does come in, it needs to hit hard. And this song hits way harder than it needs to and I love it! Fantastic job!

This music is so epic! The way I interpret this song, it felt like a slugcat surviving midrain. I dunno why, it felt like desperation replaced with a stronger goal.

Sorry for the double comment but, 'but I just keep coming back from time to time for more, probably one of the best fan hits, along with Shaded, the wall and far shore threats.
Sadly, the player doestn't get to hear this masterpiece fully in-game unless you are playing expedition with the hunted burden. (also one of the reasons of why I love that burden)
I absolutely adore the climax at the end.
Do you think it would be possible to Stack the songs horizontally to randomly alternate between different variations of the song ingame?
Uhm, well it is still planned to have unique threats for different slugcats... I've just been very busy and haven't been able to get to the others.
So far it's only the Rainy (survivor) and Snowy (saint) versions that have been done.
For this rainy version, I think that it could maybe be done with enough testing... but from playtesting, it would sound a bit awkward with the varied sections.

FL Studio.
And I used a mix of bitcrushed samples and 3rd party plugins.
A good majority of the other plug-ins are from FL, being flex and drumpad.
