The way that Ed can go from 16yr old skater to 40yr old virgin with just the change of a shirt
what the hell
Bahahahaha 😂
@@PoliticsJOE our boy turning up like an extra from Shawshank Redemption
I love you Ed, but that patter about people being late at 9:02 is shite. Virgin behaviour.
@@dw-yl3ln terf behaviour as usual from ed
"I keep trying to citizen arrest Tony Blare" is absolute gold 😂
So is your spelling.....BLARE?
@@kenwood5575 there have been so many new PMs since Tony I forgot his name hahaha
Came for the politics, stayed for the banter.
The top political PUNDITS we have ever had in the country with Alastair Campbell son
I know for a fact Oli has a BTech in poontang.
Do you guys need a sound engineer to normlaise the audio?
At this stage I have gotten used to how absolutely fucked their audio constantly is and just accepted it as part of the 'utter chaos' vibe of the podcast
it's so bad, you can hear the clipping and distortion everytime they laugh
I'm surprised by the amount of people who think Galloway is left wing. I don't know anyone else who voted Tories, supported Farage, backed Brexit, defended Putin and accepted money to broker deals between dictators that would be classed as left wing. Pretty sure the guy is also a climate change skeptic.
He has a terrible record as an MP, so I'd be shocked if the people Rochdale don't turn on him between now and the election.
The WPGB manifesto outlines a green transition and a fair deal for workers being affected by the shift towards greener industries
well said Rishy
Galloway is an old fashioned Maoist. He doesn't support trans rights or gay marriage. He supports Brexit and wants Scotland within the UK. But he doesn't tolerate imperialism and wants a fair deal for Palestine. So he gets my vote.
Depends what you mean by left wing, he’s certainly not neo liberal and has a different opinion. 99% of mp’s are two cheek’s of the same arse feathering’s their own nests following the status quo if it be climate change or something else.
You obviously don’t know the difference between old Labour and new Labour then
Am I the only one who thought the weirdest part of the entire citizens arrest story was hearing that it was told during "sports day" ?
The stupider it gets the more I'm loving it
Politics is seriously a cesspit of self interested narcissists, charlatans and grifters.
Bit like these podcasts then?
@@user-eu6wp6ws7c Nah, the podcast is full of dropouts, layabouts and space cadets. Get it right mate.
I cannot fully describe the joy the smattering of opening applause gives me 😍
I couldn't work out why your breakfast conversation was making me so anxious. Until I remembered that I'm English, and work in a Scottish cafe.
I've now switched my allegiance from Narc Ava to Political Prisoner and Hunger Strike-Daddy Oli.
What would be interesting is if a significant proportion of
"Boobs are front, they are not back" Ollie Dugmore, 2024
A 500 + Labour majority means pretty much more of the same.
What is LP offering thats so significantly different?
How will their offer help the most vulnerable out of poverty?
Ava's face during the haggis-lighting by the Boys is priceless
Labour needs a 10%+ swing to form a majority. I wouldn't want to see Labour with a huge majority.
No party with less than half the votes should even get a majority
I'm definitely one of the 2 that have watched all your podcasts and I can say this is the best ADHD vibed political show I watch. Love you all keep up the chaotic fun content with a dash of politics between the big issues like what's your full English :)
This show is just chaos! And I LOVE it!
I find it irritating, contrived , and sophamotic.
It wasn't even remotely houmoarus half the stuff they were supposedly in hysterics about for god sake.
@@rainblaze. maybe learn how to spell humorous before commenting...
@@rainblaze.Poor thing as you must have been forced to watch this video. Making this comment must have been a call for help as you obviously can't click onto a different RUclips channel.
Please do a bi-weekly segment called 'Ask the politican...' or 'Nigel did you know...?'
Fabulous work all, one of your best
Are there rea lly 209 people watching the youtube version of the testcard? Takes me back to my young days.
Damn it, I can't believe I got here too late for for the testcard!
The problem with George Galloway's speech saying this is for Gaza is that he should have said "This is for Rochdale" before saying anything else, after all it is his constituency, not somewhere 2 thousand miles away.
You've once again successfully kept it just this side of listenable - excellent work
Why did Ed burn the saltire while screaming "Staunch loyalist, long live the king fuck the nats"?
Was a little strange, but I enjoyed the podcast regardless. Maybe needed a little bit more politics though.
I didn't realise Ed Byrne was on the podcast!
Hey Ava, fellow vegetarian here. Beans cooked with onions, garlic, herbs, pepper, bread crumbs and nutritional yeast on 2 slices of bread plus fried mushrooms is a pretty nice veggie breakfast.
omg he does look like that kid from the polar express! 😅
Beavis and Butthead do politics…
This was chaos - and I loved it 😂
You guys having far too much fun in work :D
This is brilliant, like being in the pub 10/10
With Kier as leader im actually terriffied of the 500 seat possibility. Can we make this a real fucked up election and try and try campaing to get Kier out of his seat
This was unhinged. I loved it.
Love this show. Ed's diction, or is it the microphone? I keep missing out on the bants. Anyway, keep up the great work.
I am one of the two proud 100% of the catalogue viewers, i even remember the time before the 'o' in podcast got its hat
Please normalise the audio levels ffs
fancy buying a bunch of Shure SM7Bs and doing nothing else. might as well used some bleached beige pc microphones from 1997
What are they doing wrong with the audio ? Genuine question.
@@jackkruese4258there doesn’t seem to be any audio processing being done and/or the levels have been set incorrectly. For an outfit like PoliticsJOE it ain’t a great sound.
For example, one mic is louder than the other, often resulting in distortion, even thought they’re the same microphone, similar distance etc.
Some sort of compression/limiting would have helped, as the gentleman above said some normalising in post would be beneficial.
Best show on the Internet.
I can't believe I just watched that to the end
Proud to have not missed a single pubcast
Ed's suggestion of 'we can cut this bit' could apply to most of this episode...
Time stamps would be great🤞
Well that was bonkers. Well done
Unless it's razor thin, pretty much any parliamentary majority is functionally the same. Labour with 500+ seats would not be appreciably different to the one the Tories have been operating with for the last 4 and a bit years. As long as the whip system endures a majority essentially guarantees that what the government wants to pass gets passed.
To some extent, it depends on the size of factions. Brexit was interesting in that even in the party that pushed it through, it was a minority opinion. It wasn't possible to get anything through for a long time because there was no true Brexit, but also, absolutely zero good Brexits existed for modt of parliament.
Also, a large majority will mean that a significant portion will be people handpicked by the current apparatus. This tends not to favour the left, and tends to promote people who back the current leadership. Which also will tend to mean that the current leadership feel empowered to do what they want and sack/hire who they want. Whereas currently people like Milliband are significant figures because they are the link to the rest of the party.
A small majority means that labour are still largely useless, but there are some issues which certain groups of MPs might choose to make a stand on. There are people who should be kept happy, there are policies they have to keep.
@@charliegreen4128yeah imagine respecting the publics referendum. I hardly call that pushing it through
Loved the breakfast banter.
Top job xx
loving that the press people have had to sit through them talking about their breakfast habits for ten minutes
i could never just listen to this podcast my ears would never recover from the sudden audio peaks.
Oh fuck...Farage knows more about popular culture than I do... 😨
4 mins in and this is ridiculous..... sure it gets better but had enough
Imagin going back to 2019 and saying labour could become a one party state
Barely interesting story about Joe Swinson. I saw her shopping in Tesco just before the election and she had a copy of Obama's memoir in her trolley. I can't find the joke in that but there's one in there
In tears 😂
Love the new intro guys 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Oh Ava, they do a veggie version of a sosage Pattie in Aldi atm. It’s really good and no animals died!
Try one fried, in a English muffin, two slices of fried quorn ham, hash brown, sosage Pattie, you can have an egg if you like.
"English muffin" ?
@@jzilla1234 an English muffin, yes it’s like a type of bread roll. I wasn’t being rude!
@@BeccaAl are you from outside uk? we call it a muffin, or sliced buns or sliced rolls.
You won't find anything called "English muffin" on the shop shelves
@jzilla1234 as a Brit I can confirm they still are called English Muffins in the UK.
A muffin is a small cake you'd have as a snack
Where as an English Muffin is a type of bread you'd put some Cheese, Egg, Bacon, Ham or anything else you want on it for breakfast.
@@jzilla1234 lol this is blatantly incorrect. English muffins are an American invention and are an offshoot of a crumpet.
Nick Clegg was over a decade ago, and it raised the limit not actually forcing the unis to raise them. Noone in the time since has seriously considered lowering or abolishing them either because it's not practical. My absolutely least favourite political take from people of my generation.
Messing around, trying to categorize between left this and right that is a good illustration of why those powerful vested interests don't have anything to worry about.
classic line up
Love your podcast. Great content, chemistry and the way you vibe off each other actually makes me lol 👍
Omg i remember that channel 4 embarrassing bodies too 😂 that line you have been scratched your bum then scrating your head allways stayed with me too for how strange it was to hear. So funny to hear somone else reference it.
If that were the result it would be so dangerous. This would catastrophic for us all, as we would have no real opposition.
Nahhhhh left eats itself - party would fracture almost immediately i reckon
You three give Tilly, Tom and Tiny vibes from Tots TV. Except with politics.
Every week, every single bloody week, I come here to listen to sharp, critical leftist politicial commentary, and though I leave happy, I end up feeling deeply out of touch despite being a mere 3 or so years older than the eldest of the bunch. Who is Sidney Sweeney? Love truly takes its toll.
She was in madame web. Turned up on the red carpet really hot
Leftist 😂
How long until these guys are all fucking on the podcast table, the amount of innuendos is getting sus if you ask me
"We will keep doing the thing that the party in line to get only 25 seats want to do" is not the most compelling or logical plan is it?
Guys I'm really fond of all of you but we're 4 minutes in and I came for politics 😂
What there an RM Brown reference in their hash brown discussion?
To be fair to Ed's eagerness for Scottish brands etc., I reckon it is the England effect. When I have lived in England I have felt *much* more aggressively Scottish and interested in things from Scotland than when I am actually in England.
I see the results of the IPSOS poll and think that I can use this opportunity to vote for someone better than the current Labour party. I just wish the Greens had more candidates standing.
The Christian Horner scandal explains so much, his love of Coco Pops explains where RedBull’s 2021 overspend came from 😅 Full disclosure I have been an RB fan for years but this power struggle story has me even more hooked and mega to hear the PolJoe take!
Went to Eggslut for lunch today and the hashbrowns were indeed excellent. Good tip Ava.
19:07 who would be a rat? Well from looks of things, all three of them 😂
Best one yet
Ava is constantly getting diverted by Ollie, who keeps complaining they aren’t doing enough politics, which Ed then capitalises on to derail the conversation further which Ava responds to by attempting to steer it back on track. Only for Ollie…
Can get a veggie black pudding, can get it in most supermarkets
A veggie breakfast can just be the same as a meat one, only difference is the bacon is a bit shit, everything else is fine
17:30: ‘it would be a one party state, what would we do’. 42:30 ‘talks about breakfast choices for 20 minutes’…. I think you’ll be fine
Great podcast. Audio needs major normalisation/compression before releasing it. It goes from deafening to inaudible on headphones.
Imagine if the polling was true! Some fun debates between Liberal democrats and Labour
This was the best podcast about nothing ever
Please allow your audience to vote on a question to text political figures. One an episode. Then randomise which politician you text
The breakfast conversation reminded me of Red Dwarf, would you like some toast?
No one on this smegging ship wants any toast
@@Luciry123 How about a muffin?
Ah, so Ava's a waffle girl!
Listening to this with heaven knows what by haldern playing in the background is one hell of a vibe
This was such a refreshing and hilarious episode today. Thank you for the incredible laughs and for texting Nigel. Quite a wonderful show today.
Good podcasting. Very fun.
Is there going to be a budget episode tomorrow?
Haters in the comments... just... don't watch? Go away? stop making yourselves mad?
Is this not cheap enough? 😂
Its a real good time to be named Paul Rudd right now.
NEVER CHANGE ❤ this pod soothes my adhd brain
Chuck them a like, eh
honestly can every episode be this Scottish please and thanks
I do love this show but calling it a Political podcast is starting to push it ahaha. This was pure chaos with no structure and thoroughly enjoyable
Lovely bit of discourse-maxing
I wish this podcast was timestamped.....
If I was a voter, would you poll me psephologist?
Full Scottish breakfast 💪🏻🏴
Please use timestamps
Fantastic as always!
