Hi bharat, i made this chole today.... i followed your recipe step by step and my guests asked me where i ordered these chole from because here in Australia, we dont get this authentic flavour. I got a lot of appreciation when i told them that i made them at home. My guests couldn't believe that they are made so delicious at home. Thanks a lot , u made my day...... i told everyone about your channel..... keep rising man..... lucky we have your channel :)
*GREAT* Chemistry lesson and explanation. I appreciated that part of the tutorial very much, because when I learn the *reasons* for a cooking technique, it makes so much more sense to me. Thank you.

I cooked chhole according to tis recipe and they turned out one of the best i have ever cooked. Bharat you are one of the best indian chef on youtube. I have tried many of your recipes and they all turned out delicious.
Wat a lovely recipie... I made it for a brunch... My family nd guests loved it... U r a genius Bharat... Ur knowledge of food science is extraordinary...Thanks
I have subscribed to 100's of food channels over the past, and I have created multiple playlists and pinned 1000's of recipes. I have even re-created many of the recipes that I really liked. Though I have never seen someone who taught the science of cooking combined with aromatic and satisfying Indian flavours as well as you have in your video that I have had the pleasure of seeing today. I have also seen NONE of the indian cooks use gloves in their cooking for a more hygenic approach, and I think that you recipe will take me back to my childhood days when I give it a shot this weekend! Please keep posting more recipes! :)
Geeta Sakhuja wow wow wow I'm just speechless (i'm sorry) you really made me feel like a star or something thank you ssooooooooo much may god bless you ... you truly understood what actually I want to do and I really wanna show how amazing and technical Indian is thanks again you made my day or rather you made me happy for a loooong time regards bharat wadhwa
bharatzkitchen Hey Bharat, I`m happy that I made your day. I took a closer look at your channel and noticed that you have posted a lot of good recipes, but they are mostly focused on fried foods. Don`t get me wrong, I love chilli chicken with fried chicken bits just as much as the next person, but I also love a lot of nutritious meals that contain a large number of vegetables and grains. I would try and post more recipes such as vegetable curry and biryani, spicy okra, oats upma or even a rava idli recipe would be awesome! I am sure there is tonnes of science around the fermentation of the batter for idlis or dosas that you could touch up on. Other than that as I mentioned love your fresh approach to cooking. Just keep posting awesome videos and sticking to a schedule that suits you! :)
have been trying to learn this authentic chana recipe after having in hotels and dhabas...tried ur recipe and finally found the same taste...thanks for this delicious recipe
Your fricking brilliant.. I have never come across someone who really explains his cooking so well. I have learnt more from you than I have in my professional catering classes
plz dont stop explaining the science !! urs s the only channel i have found so far that can really teach me everything abt cooking..!! the science helps with understanding healthier ways.!!
I can't thank you enough for this! There are thousands of RUclipsrs who cook, but you are a chef! My husband loved this Chhole soo much. I am hooked to your channel now. Rise&Shine. Keep making videos. You don't know how many blessings you are gathering by teaching people these recipes. Seeing your loved one smile after first bite of the food you made, that feeling is incredible. And I THANK YOU, for that.
I made this yesterday and it was really good. I felt like I am a chef. Thanks Bharat. please make more videos. I love to try all and Thanks for helping.
Fabulous recipe.... tried it turned out awesome... never before had i made such yummy chana masala... my folks just loved it. There are certain recipes which your mom hands u down and u just dont tamper with them and they turn out to be magical... this is one such recipe which goes in that list .... thank you BHARAT.
OMG! I just made this and I can't believe how good the chole turned out! It's better than what my in-laws make and I tell you they are damn good at their chole. Thanks so much for your "boring science." Loved every bit of your chemistry lecture.. ;)
Thanks Bharat for explaining scientific reason for adding Tea and Baking soda, before this video I saw other recipes they didn’t explain the purpose so I never attempted. Now after following your recipe the dish came out delicious. Channa are very soft .. many thanks to you !!!!
Dear Bharat, i tried this recipe and followed it almost to the T. It didn't turn out a 100% as what you have shown, nonetheless it came out very delicious and i was pretty proud of myself. I have made chole earlier also but this was a totally different take and i simply loved what came out in the end. All your recipes are really wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing with us. I have also tried your Domino's style oregano powder seasoning and am in love with that simple recipe. Once again, thank you very much. Look forward to seeing you on one of your videos soon. With love xxxxx
M so impressed d way u explained scientific logic behind prfct cooking....just loved yr way...n infact I evn tried making which turned out to b pretty gud thnx a ton
Really nice to understand that tea is not added just for colors - this is the first time I have cooked based on a recipe and they turned out just like in restaurants. Thank you very much.
I had tried your recipe for the first time about 6 months ago and the results were fantastic. I have since made chana masala using your recipe a number of times and the results are always the same ' FANTASTIC'. I also love the way you explain how to do things. Thank you.
bharatzkitchen actually your science facts are not boring i always use tea bags and baking soda bt always thought it was used for color , anyway thanks for explaining this amazing recipe u r awesome btw tried your cheese burst n it was simply heaven thanks a lot :)
Hey Bharat. This is a fantastic recipe. More than the recipe, it's your explanation of the science behind it, that needs a special mention. I have chhole several times without adding the tea bag and baking soda (coz I am not a big fan of the dark brown coloured chhole), always wondered why the chickpeas would never turn as well cooked as we get in restaurants. I made chhole for dinner tonight following your recipe step by step and viola, had the best chhole ever. Everyone in my family loved it too. Thank you so much for uploading this superb video. I am going try out your other recipes soon.
Hello Bharat.. We r delhiites living in Japan n full foodies.. Your choley bhature recipe is a savior here... Reminds us of haldiram choley bhature.. Thanks..
Where on earth were you hiding mate? I am big science freak and passionate about cooking. You are the first person I came across RUclips who has explained the science while cooking. Keep up the good work. Just a suggestion; please do not repetitively use the word 'also'. It adds noise to your wonderful narrative. If you want to say the name both in English and Hindi, just say side by side. E.g Ginger powder or Sounth instead of saying Ginger powder also known as Sounth.
Dear Bharat, you will be great professional (whatever your career choice is). All the best! This happens to be the best food recipe video I have seen. I am going to make this exactly how you demonstrated and will let you know how it went! Thank you and all the very best, you will do very well for yourself and if you ever become an instructor, your students will love you!

Look fantastic, your explanations for using stuff is so good. Cant wait to make my own :)

Your voice is really mesmerizing. 😊
fully agree :D !!!!
Really nice to understand that tea is not added just for colors - this is the first time I have cooked based on a recipe and they turned out just like in restaurants. Thank you very much.
You can also add a bit of zing to the final garnish by slitting the green chilies, stuffing it with amchur (mango powder) and shallow frying them.
The best bit is the chemistry! I love it. Cooking Lesson + Chemistry of the Dish = Perfection

Fantastic explanation. I always had a problem with chole not being soft enough in many restaurants and even many homes for years. This pH reasoning changes all of it. I've used tea before in the cooker - but will try adding baking soda too. Thank you!
It sure looks good and inspires me to try it. you are very inspiring. thanks
