But this one does the justice with better engine in all ways, and maintains the badass cool look of why everyone fell in love with Hummer in the first place, the military and H1 series. it would clean off but they just cleaned it and probably have not had it baptized before. the snorkel is there just for looks but it was on there before so leave it on there. if you're going to go for a dip in your $200k truck then you are going to want to avoid river fording for the most part with the fancier interiors. even then, you can strip it down to the metal and replace everything to keep the mold out. like he said, it might get dirty and it would take a great deal of effort to detail it afterwards these are show trucks

@@ToolkiT73UK it doesn't negate it, it is just something they did not want to do with their 2 show trucks. if you are one of those drivers with $220k who happens to be regularly fording creeks up to 4 ft deep then do not get the leather trim. if it is something you do often, keep the leather trim but keep in mind, it will get the truck dirty. like a flood damage total kind of dirty. insurance can replace the money, but you're going to need a new interior at the least. if you have the money, go for a 10 ft swamp buggy or simply build bridges to cross so that you don't get your UAV all waterlogged

@@tonyc6996 no, it is not stupid to have a "show" H1 if you just spent thousands on cleaning and transport to jay leno's garage so that you can "show"case your product to wealthy contractors and showboat hollywood types who buy supercars which never hit the road let alone a track. you can spend hundreds of hours offroad in a hummer and never need to ford a river and if you did then you would likely be in water deeper than your truck. it's like all of the jeeps they build these days for $50k. sure you can go in water with it, but you really shouldn't since it will get very dirty. if you plan on needing a snorkel, get a swamp buggy or something that you would not take to a business meeting. if you live a dirty off road life and want to spend a quarter million on a modernized hummer, tell them to leave the fabrics out of it and you won't worry about getting it dirty. or keep the cloth inside and replace it every couple of months when the mold starts growing again...

What male doesn't like Hummers? I mean I'm not saying you'd have to own one but damn. I mean they are the modern jeeps and work horses of the American military. They are iconic. Take away the turd 6.2 and add a dmax and you have a winner. Their 4 wheel independent coil suspension alone is one of a kind then you add their portal hubs and you truly have a one of a kind engineering marvel. Plus they can be configured from a 2 door truck to a 4 door wagon and everything inbetween. Simply amazing vehicle among the broad scope of the 100 year automotive history. AM General also made a large number of the US Mail jeeps of the 70's and 80's. As a company they are kind of a forgotten auto maker. Then you have the Lambo 002 connection along with Chrysler and their GI Joe Vamp truck with it's underpowered 318 mid engine configuration.

Jay is a great guy. I really came to love him over his passion for cars. I was not a Tonight Show fan. I was always Team Coco. But I really grew to appreciate him. I just turned 30, so I'm of a different generation. He's a hell of a guy.

From talking to a hummer salesman years ago, beyond the price of the vehicle you will have frequent and very expensive maintenance on five differentials. One at each wheel and and a main coordinating box.
