    Love the new video.
Just a tip (for your dealer) go out and spend 5-600 on a STIHL gas powered leaf blower back pack. Fresh powder basically gets instant removed with a big blower.

I originally started watching your videos because I was researching the Bolt EV, and you had one and were commenting on it at a time that most dealers knew very little about it. Even with the one I just bought a week ago, the team still didn't know much about Level 2 charging and I had to do all that research myself.
Anyway, regarding this video, people just have limits for whatever reason they have them. The salesman will have a limit, the management will have a limit, and the erstwhile purchaser will have a limit, and everybody's limits move around depending on whatever vanities and foibles are going on at the time, mitigated by whatever margin the dealer has and whatever money the purchaser really has.
Sometimes people are stupid, and sometimes people have real world limits (even the dealer).
Thank you for the help you provided with your videos about the Bolt EV. I found a dealer out in the country with whom I was honest about how much money I had, and he knew that his revenue stream with financing was not an option, and he knew that I only had a certain amount of cash, and he moved his figures around to suit the amount of cash that I had.
I know he still made money, because GM basically paid them to take a dozen Bolts and sell them. I backed out the tax, the processing fee, tax, title, and so on, and realize that he'd been able to come down to under 20 grand for a new 2020 Bolt EV. That's great.
If I have a moral to this story, I guess it's don't jerk people around for nothing. Salesmanship is not easy, and a successful sales person is not going to be stupid or lazy. For goodness sake (and your own sake), do your research thoroughly. But don't draw lines for your ego's sake, and don't jerk somebody around over a couple of hundred dollars if you don't have to do it.
All of this IMHO, of course.

Glad you recovered from Covid quickly without side effects. Nice videos. Only comment is about your driving position. Habits are terrible to break, but if the air bag deployed, not only will you break your arm and wrist, it will hit your face possibility causing head injury.
I used to drive GM for years ( Pontiac’s then Cadillacs) but moved over to Mercedes-Benz in 2008 as Cadillacs lost almost 50% of their value in 24-26 months. I am currently driving an S Class coupé and the AMG steering wheel has a position for holding the steering wheel. not it is not at 10 and 2, more like 9:30 and 2:30.( I am sure GM has that too).

When you deal with customers, especially with the public you have to learn to say NO.When I was trained in sales years ago,( not cars) they said that the customer always wanted to feel like he/she was the most important customer that you have. That's fine but you have to make a profit. After the vehicle sold, you should've told the man that he was right to start with, that it wasn't meant to be....

I am so glad to see dealership life videos back! Thanks and good job holding the line on that deal. Consumers have been told yes for so long at all levels of retail and It needs to stop. When a store runs a sale that is the sale price and the sale ends and the price goes back up. Running sales all the time is nothing special anymore. My mom was telling me that when she was a kid when a store had a sale it was a huge deal and people were excited about it.

Remember that people keep vehicles longer, and the last time many people bought vehicles, say years ago... GM used to advertise "10k off" sticker on Tahoes and Suburbans. GM's rebate was like 7-8k and the dealers were able to pitch in the rest. Customers felt like THAT was the true price of a GM truck, not the sticker. Now the market is way different, but people don't know that, because the last time they bought a vehicle that was how it was. Maybe explain that to them? Perhaps easier to show them the invoices have gone up, rebates have gone down, transaction prices gone up, inventory went down, etc. Good luck, thats a job I know requires a lot of personal time, sometimes for little gain.

That customer and his wife were clowns. They wanted the whole hog and the fixings. If it were me, I would've asked for roof rack cross rails to make the Tahoe look good. While there's snow in the Northeast at the time, in Memphis we got worst : a once every twenty some years I've storm that shut down the Southeast states for a week. The Tahoe knocked the Suburban from one to two. Now the Traverse is Number one with the Tahoe number two. At least GM listened to their customers for a shorter Suburban primarily for the Northeast in 1994 for the 1995 model year.

I have a buddy who has been shopping for a very specific pick up truck for at least the past 6 months. He has lost out on good deals because of his unreasonable demands of discounts. If the truck MSRP was $50,000 and the dealer has him down to $40,000, he wants another $3,000 off. Basically the dealers just stop answering his calls and e-mails and the truck sells to somebody else and he gets pissed. He has also been kicked out of a dealership, and when he went back to try to negotiate again, they just kicked him right out, wouldn't even talk to him. lol.

You mentioned shortage of inventory, but I did see an article about a glut of 2020 Bolts on Chevy dealer lots being heavily discounted by $14,000 to $15,000 just to get them off the lot. One of the local dealers here in IL list their pricing with the customer cash and dealer cash discounts. I notice that your dealership only lists the customer cash discount with no hint of what the dealer discount is. Why is there such a difference between what dealers list as far as discounting is concerned? In short the local dealer is giving a $8,000 discount on the 2020 while I probably have to call you to find out about the $8,000 dealer discount. Wouldn’t it be better if Schumacher included the dealer discount in the internet price instead of haggling with the sales manager with you as the middle man?
I think that is what frustrates most people about buying cars is the haggling for an assumed low price. That’s what makes the Tesla purchasing experience better because of the set price for the car. Granted Tesla raises and lowers prices like people change underwire but the purchasing experience is so much better.
The last 2019 Chevy Volt that I bought from a local dealer came down to the sales manager not coming down in price any further because he thought I would not bring the car back for serve because I lived too far away. This is just one of the many examples of what turns people off with purchasing a car from a dealer.
Would you agree that an end of quarter car sale is better for the customer as the dealer and the sales person want to run their sales numbers up for the dealer as well as mother GM?

So if a client keeps asking for discount and the dealer always goes lower does the vehicle end up being free? It's a business and each deal has to make some sort of business sense. In this case the dealer chose to stop at a price and the client declined. Later another client came in and bought it at our advertised sale price. They did their research and understood it to be a good deal. One client out there is upset they lost the truck over a few hundred and the another is happily driving their new Tahoe.

Oh well, maybe that guy will remember that next time.
I have a story / question for u Dave. My brother recently leased a ‘21 Trailblazer and a ‘21 Blazer. All was good with the Trailblazer and he took delivery that same day. With the Blazer he noticed a humming noise above 50 mph and they said their was a recall and the part was in and would be ready the following Monday. He thought ok, that’s fine.
It took 3 weeks until he finally took delivery. Within that time he was told the transmission was replaced but it still made the humming noise (we doubt it was replaced, wouldn’t give service paperwork). A couple days later the salesman said it was ready, went to pick it up and guess what, it still wasn’t ready and they mentioned a part being installed backwards at the factory 🤔 and it would be ready the next day. It was actually ready the next day and they said it was something to do with the active noise cancellation.
The whole situation was a massive pain in the ass. Talk about taking all the excitement out of a new car experience! To try and make things right my brother asked if they’d make his next payment. They agreed surprisingly.
My question is.... have u heard of or what is a FUNK DEAL? That was on the check stub and we can’t figure out what that would mean. Thanks.
