Hi Dave, as the owner of the C8 Corvette in the video I want to say thank you! It was a long time coming, but worth the wait! Also really appreciate the window sticker being framed. Very nice touch!
My wife and and just drove our first long range trip of 200 miles, speed limit is 70 most of the trip. When we left we had a range of 220 miles, we weren’t able to fully charge before we left. We stayed at my sisters house and unfortunately the nearest charging station is 44 miles, so to be on the safe side we stopped twice both on the way up and the way back at dc fast chargers. I told my sister she needs to install a 240 outlet in her garage 😂.
Welcome back! My '23 EUV came in almost 2 weeks ago; picked it up last Saturday, and I couldn't love it any more! I ordered it at the end of June; didn't hear from the dealer ever, so figured I would get it around the end of November, if I got it at all. I honestly was taken by surprise. I'm getting used to not buying gas and figuring out how to trickle charge it properly. I'll have it down before too long. Also have the Qmerit 240V outlet installation coming in the next week or two. I'll keep you posted on that so you can share it with your viewers.
Congrats on completing that marathon! I got an interesting insight into dealership life yesterday. I was buying a new 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe from a local Jeep dealership in El Reno, OK. The finance manager told me that they recently changed their business hours and now close on Saturdays. I asked him why would they close on the busiest day of the week? He said it actually has increased their sales and also made hiring mechanics and salesman much easier as many potential hires are looking for work but like having weekends off. They also have to compete with oil field jobs which pay well above the median rate in this area.
I have no idea about what you were talking about with the mileage and the range but hey I am not good at math anyway. Glad you are back and since you are down a sales person now you will have plenty to film for dealership life. Thanks for the video.
@@DaveBsellsChevy That is a good to hear. If you are going to grow then you have to upload no matter what is going on. You can do it. Other people work jobs and still do RUclips. Thanks for the video as always.

Just bought a 2022 GMC Terrain SLE. $1000 GM rebate and I had $4000 in equity in the 2020 Kia Sportage lease turn in. No up charges. I'll stick with gas engines for now.
I am one of the deliveries Dave B. finalized on Saturday, October 8th!!! Best. Salesperson. Ever. I had first heard of Dave B. when I became interested in a 2023 Bolt EUV after gm lowered the price by $6000 and NJ offered a rebate of up to $4000 (which the Bolt EUV qualifies for). I have always been impressed with the job gm did on this vehicle, and its accolades proved such, but its original pricing didn't tempt me until it did. After some local searching, I was not impressed with the mannerisms, attitude towards the product, or "market adjustments" I was seeing. The sheer awesomeness of the Interwebz came to the rescue with a "Naughty & Nice List" of EV-friendly dealers who would be better business partners... Schumacher Chevrolet in Livingston, NJ was on that list and Dave B. was specifically referenced. On July 29th, I reached out to Dave B. and officially placed a custom order for what would become my 2023 Bolt EUV at MSRP!!! Any and all questions I had were answered patiently and adeptly. I never felt rushed or swindled at any point of the process. As the weeks dragged on, I would ask Dave B. for updates as production delays and a potential railroad workers strike threatened to derail (see what I did there?) the process, yet, Dave B. kept me in the loop in any way, shape, or form. Then one day, Dave B. sent me a text of my vehicle sitting on the dealership charger! I knew Dave B. was going to be on vacation, so we arranged it that we schedule the delivery when he was working, a decision I made out of sheer respect for him. Almost all paperwork was done in advance so there was actually very little to do at the time of delivery. It was worth the wait because Dave B. is truly one of the most personable humans you'll ever encounter. If you can do business with him, I highly recommend it because if every car salesperson were like Dave B., perhaps the car sales industry in general wouldn't have such a negative stigma attached to it... Seriously, he's that good to work with. Thank you, Dave B.!!!

I don’t own an electric vehicle but I was already feeling range anxiety when you were explaining how close it came at your final stop. I think right now the only possible time I would ever own electric vehicle as if I was just doing around town and that would just be ridiculously wasteful to buy a car just tool around town. When they can get an electric car to go 600 miles and be able to charge in under 10 minutes completely with plenty of stations then I’ll give them a look but other than that they’re just a novelty to me.
The Bolt is a slow DCFC charger but really the Bolt is a City car that can do long trips in a pinch. You can always stop and charge during your breaks for food or rest stops. However, do you drive 600 miles every single day? No. Maybe a few times a year for Vacations... Very few ICE cars today can get that unless you have a Big Truck with a BIG tank, but then you are spending a lot of money on gas, charging an EV is still less expensive.
Your logic escapes me... Do you drive 600 miles a day? Most folks drive less than 40 miles a day, making an EV completely acceptable as primary transportation. 10 min charging? Don't you sleep 8 hours a night? Plug in and charge while you sleep.
@@Nebula1701 no my truck won’t get 600 miles in a single fillup (my Jetta Tdi could easily) but I can go to the gas station and completely fill up in less than three minutes and keep on going. Most Charging stops will be between 20 to 60 minutes, depending on Vehicle and how much range you want to get back. (Rule of thumb for EVs is to stop charging at 80% and be on your way.)
Your question was: Does any of this make sense? The only thing that I could think of based on videos from other You Tubers that make a living test driving electric cars. When your Chevy does an estimated range, does it factor in hills on the road. For example sometimes when I see videos of Teslas on road trips, the car will suggest the next charging station to go to & how much juice they will have left. Well according to what I have seen, they say that the car factors in roads in mountainous areas, meaning it won't let them go as far because it knows it will be using more power to take on those roads. Plus they also say wind is a factor, if you're going against the wind, that may play a role in not being able to go as far as estimated.
It'd be interesting to know if that's reversed on the return trip, and what the net change in elevation was since the implication was he was driving more uphill than down.

What happens if you get to your destination and the charger is broken or being used. I wouldn’t take a chance on an EV for anything other than a commuter car.
Pretty much out of luck if it is broken. One good thing is most of the EV charger apps (ChargePoint, EVGo, etc) have their current condition posted and many times people who use them share their experience in the chargers comment section so you can know before you get there.
Didn't think of that. Charging was not free. There were four charge point chargers about 0.5 mile away from the hotel. Three charging sessions during the days I was up there: 4h42m - 110 miles - $6.95 4h11m - 98 miles - $6.19 3h27m - 81 miles - $5.13 $18.27 for 289 miles of range
It makes total sense. You didn't get the EV mileage the car was telling you were going to get. Just like with gas mileage. If you drive faster or in hilly terrain or you're in a headwind, you're not going to get tge range. They are realizing that thevFord F150 is getting way under the rating if you tow with it. I wonder if the Silverado will be the same.
I was looking at it after filming and the car did pretty good. If I take the 222 miles I drove and add the remaining "low end" estimate of 23 remaining miles it would equal 245 which is just 2 shy of the vehicles 247 EPA Range Estimate
@@DaveBsellsChevy The numbers afre just estimates based on your PAST driving; like the old saying w/ gas cars, "your mileage may differ." You could also focus on the lower estimate initially, rather than the average number in the middle... & that way, you've got that extra "cushion" in your calculations! But arriving at your destination w/ only 29 miles of average reserve: that's cutting it a lot closer than I would with an ICE car... ! Great video as always.
Used to take 80 to 380 to 81 and then 90 to go to buffalo. That drive was boring as all hell. Just nothing but open fields between the cities. But you can get up to 100 on 380 in certain stretches. Lol.

Markups are the death of dealerships and that will be great for customers !!!!! Dealers won't be missed at all ....... FACT. 4h11m - 98 miles - $6.19
3h27m - 81 miles - $5.13
$18.27 for 289 miles of range
Is GM going to Miss Analyst Estimates Again?
1:38 Steve Carell?
Isn't it kinda dumb that chevy doesn't have that tray to start with?
I was told there would be no maths
I applied the common core math my kids use. I got a giraffe…
Haha
You walked right by a Camaro zl1 and said nothing..lol
Used to take 80 to 380 to 81 and then 90 to go to buffalo. That drive was boring as all hell. Just nothing but open fields between the cities. But you can get up to 100 on 380 in certain stretches. Lol.
Dave B had no Idea what was going on😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫 like always great video’s
Next video 20 minutes!
Can't wait for GM to do what Ford is about to and cancel a ton of dealerships. I like smoking those fake Ferrari's from the 90's from 0-100 in my wife's Bolt ...... Too much fun !!!!! Markups are the death of dealerships and that will be great for customers !!!!! Dealers won't be missed at all ....... FACT. I thought the Bolt and EV Equinox would help GM not collapse but the thieves at dealerships are killing the sales so Bye Bye dealers.
You lie.. Bolt tops out at 92 mph therefore you cannot beat any car to 100
Better start looking for a new job, Chevy/Fisher Price going to be bankrupt real soon!
Troll!
You probably say this because you want the GM name all to yourself..lol.
GMC is better lol
GMC what?
