Cool tank. I would make the top of that bridge you've got connecting the back rock to the front a "beautiful" zoa garden. That would look really nice! I would have also put the GSP lower in the tank so it can grow more up the wall of the tank. It is right under your overflow so you will be cutting it back soon! LOL Awesome job!
Thanks man! Love the ideas, and yeah those gsps might be a problem haha. Need to take my own advice and make a mossy bottom look. Thanks for watching!!
Great video, the only thing I wished you would have done is showed pictures of all the corals you recommended, I Google them easy enough, but other than that I found your video very educational for myself and how you presented the topic and all . I will most definitely follow you. Look forward to your next video and thank you for your work in putting this together
great info , I personally love them but with a only softie tank what would be the best food for them like to improve color , I know with lighting I can change their color
Great video, I am all agree with you, but I see so much coral expert in the comments 🤣 Btw I have soft coral like kenya tree or zoa or toadstool or acropora well a lot of different coral but I really love soft coral
ugh, stop saying Zoos this all started because a couple of wanna be influencers accidentally called them that and doubled down, and it stuck. it's Zoanthus, not Zooanthus not to not pick but if you want to educate people and be taken seriously you should atleast know the correct spelling and pronunciation of the easiest species. still a good video but pet hate
@maverickbryan1 of course I have but it's a mispronunciation of the actualy nickname. don't get me wrong you know your shit you're hot and talking about my favourite thing. the other thing with mushrooms is that some of them are also extremely toxic
The peramiters you listed are for 90% of the corals out there. You should've been more specific and listed best success peramiters example sps like higher alk lvl around 10-11 softies are 8-9 when you say 8-12 well that's everything.
@maverickbryan1 Magnesium 1500 Calcium 490 Nitrate 50-100 in between Alk 7.7 Ammonia 0 Been battling my nitrates cut back on feeding. I get all my water from my local fish store. Most stuff looks happy but nothing grows. I only have a viparspectra running lights 12 hours 10 blue 2 whites
@@Reeflifeaquaticsky Alk is a bit low, and like you said nitrates are high, also do you dose trace elements? I'm assuming your LFS uses mixed water so you'd need to look into using the balling solution. I'm surprised zoas aren't growing though, that tells me it's a light spectrum issues, but try and fix alk and nitrates first before spending a shit ton on new lights. Good luck!
@@Reeflifeaquaticsky Do a 50% water change, maybe mix your own water or ask the lfs what salt they use. If that doesn't work you might have a light issue or some toxin in the water
Hairy mushrooms do in fact sting other corals ive seen it over and others softies relase toxins that sting and damage other corals so think what you want, most do not however. The term coral is debated heavily in the hobby zoas are closely related to anemones. There is no taxonomic description for every coral species. ALL corals are cindarians, they are all related to jellies and anemones. Hexacorallia callasifies anemones and zoas, key part being CORALLIA. Softies are classified mostly octocorallia but some hexacorallia are included in the hobby becuase of look and care.. In scientific literature you have an argument, however for most hobbyists you are just incorrect.
@@maverickbryan1all corals soft to hard sting each other to a certain extent. It’s how they protect themselves from being outgrown. I’m sorry but you are just wrong. You might want to do a little more research before commenting on something you clearly don’t understand or know about!
@@maverickbryan1 Mushrooms are anemones. This is the point I’m making-- we don’t call a bee a fly that stings. We call a fly a fly and a bee a bee. I don’t understand why we can call something an “insane rainbow mega ultra inferno toxic hammer coral” but at the same time call Zoas and mushrooms corals when they are not corals.
Love weeping willows
Love how the arrow crab waves when introduced
They are funny 😂
There’s only one weeping willow coral from Jake Adams everything else is a long polyp toadstool lol I get what you mean tho
;)
I would move the Maxi up in the tank and put it high on the rock work. Maxis should be on rocks while crocea and derasa could be in the sand bed.
He's one a rock on the sand bed, but I will keep an eye out, thanks!!

Where did you get your weeping willow?
All of my corals come from the wholesalers of the company I work for. But I'm sure world wide corals or another online retailer will have some!
👏💯✌️

If you want to abbreviate Zoanthids it’s Zoas, “Zoh-ahs”, not zooooos 🤷🏼♂️

Never ever and I mean never did the Kenya tree. It will take over your tank in a matter of months and you regret getting it.
Takes a bit longer than that in my experience, but they are easy to remove and frag!!
