So I had a fibroscan today. I was told I’ll be notified within a week if there’s anything of concern. My actual appointment with the physician is in December. So much for getting an immediate result!

That is odd I have them every 6-12 months with the liver nurse I get results straight away so that is very unusual I would speak to your consultants secretary

can a fibroscan be effected by high billrubin and gilberts diease? does this cause congestion even if its is indirect billrubin that is elevated

I know this is an old post but does anyone have any information if Fibroscan can be used or should be used with people who have a history or high billrubin or Gilebrts Sydrome which is mostly indirect elevations in billrubin and if that would be classified as hepatic congestion? I have had readings from 7.3 to 9.9 in 2 months over 3 scans. all cap scores are less than 230
