The Beast looked around for an extra few seconds, made eye contact with each section of that crowd, even after the coaches were telling him to drop it. he looked around and saw what it is to visualize what accomplishing your dreams looks like in as many faces as he could, with the fury and blood on his face, before dropping that 1/2 ton to the ground and shaking history itself. absolute legend.
No, he was looking at the judges to ensure they all gave green lights.

The reason I love records like these is its something so simple, yet so incredibly difficult. The task is simply to lift the object. Anyone can attempt to try it. People have been lifting things since the dawn of time. And yet, this is the first time in human history that someone has actually lifted the 500kg. The biggest amount ever lifted. Incredbile.
@nedkelly3436none of our ancestors had access to roids, specific training and none of them ate 10k calories a day

Eddie, you are the man!!!! I have been watching you for awhile and I almost never comment on RUclips. You are the man! The hard work and dedication you have put into your sport is insane. Keep it up!
Brings tears to my eyes, what an incredible lift! What a life story, now doing this at 29. Just so amazing, congrats Eddie
This video is the best pre-workout ever.
Watching this always makes me tear up a little. After hearing his interview about the lift, he said in order to move the weight he needed his adrenaline to spike dramatically. Rather than inject himself, he talked about going to a hypnotist and a therapist to help him mentally trigger his body to produce the needed adrenaline. He said he imagined horrible things happening to his children and wife just prior to the lift to induce that anger and rage. The thought of a man so desperately trying to save his family from something and being able to lift 500kg because of it always gets me.
It's beautiful, he even looks at the crowd whilst holding 500kg AFTER he knows he has done the lift because it means so much to him and he wants to take it all in. That's a human doing insane feats on emotion.
Id also imagine that years of lifting, tapping into that near 1 rep max, ect. helps you break through the bodys natural limiting system more easily.
EDDIE HALL IS THE MAN! THE BEAST THE LEGEND!
I honestly thought it was a number to hard to achieve after seeing him in person 2 years ago when he did his 462kg PR now he just jumped right to 500kg! A massive congratulations!!!
All you've worked for Eddie & more to come!
Do are country proud!
For me it's one of the best feelings in the world. When you go for that new PR, a weight you couldn't comprehend when you first started deadlifts. You've braced, pushed and the weight actually moves... now it's passed the knees and you know it's happening... your legs start to shake, you're not sure if it's the pressure your body is under or from the pure adrenaline rushing through your body... before you have time to think the weight is up, you're fully locked, standing tall... it feels like you're holding nothing after what you're body has just been through... right there... before you even begin to think about lowering the weight... absolute euphoria. The numbers on the plates don't matter, it's all about you, your record, your experience, your progression. We can only imagine the buzz Eddie felt holding what was believed to be an impossible weight at that point and looking out at the crowd cheering in disbelief at what they're witnessing. Absolutely mental.
Best deadlift ever in human history. 500kg is an absolutely mind boggling world record. I keep coming back to watch this truly inspirational, Eddie.
Congrats from the U.S. for this phenomal feat of strength from the Beast.
Completely amazing, congrats Eddie !
An old guy in the gym once told me a great truth: lifting weight is not about fatigue, it's about pain
Sounds like bullshit to me.
The trick is ( take this with a grain of salt ) lifting enough to get some fatigue but not overdo yourself and then do it once more, later that day. So, like if you train only at let's say 70% of what you can do you can train again alter that day without losing gains because your muscles aren't destroyed like most do when they exercise. ( I am just a newbie, but I like to listen/reading about what great strength athletes from many different sports like arm wrestling, bodybuilding, sumo and strongman of course to make a clear understanding of how to become stronger not bigger if you will see the bigger picture of how to become stronger and not bigger then you can also get bigger if you want to).
P.S. I included bodybuilding and sumo that focuses on just getting bigger and heavier because knowing each side of the coin, lifts all lies about the other side to the surface.
Please don't shit on me for saying this I just want to seem cool :P
This is somewhat true.It should be a soreness, not true pain.
If it's real pain, then something is wrong. If it's the right kind of pain,it hurts so good.
I get extremely depressed if I don't get sore when I expect to. Like not being in pain fucks up my day. Pretty wild when you really think about it.. 😁👍✌

@@kevlingcustomtitantrons9375 hahaha, only in the gym.. 😁👍

@@gravemind6536 yeah that was crazy impressive, the grip strength is unheard of

Thor didn’t need as much sheer will because he’s just a stronger man than Eddie is.
@@LegendInThaMakin bruh when are u fuckers going to understand that the previous world record was ALSO Eddie's and he literally jumped 35 kgs in 1 year, weights have always increased over the years, the record being around 410 10 years ago. Thor took 4 years to catch up and then lifts just 1kg more, and he is more physically gifted than eddie, Thor did not break his or Eddie's record by 30 kg AND he can do much more AND its 4 years after, thats like 30 kg increase overtime.
