      Good question, I did not zip tie them I did group them together into smaller bundles but I wish I had ziptied them. Honestly it doesn’t really matter since I’ll never see them ever anyway... but in the back of my mind... I kind of want that clean neat look. If you want to... zip tie them. I have a question. There’s a thin wire coming out from that same light engine and i have it connected to the ground of car. It works fine this way. It’s not the the main wire with the dc plug, i believe it was an audio/microphone out wire that comes out of the light engine . The main wire/dc plug is running to the “audio” fuse in my fuse box straight up, no adapter or anything. Unfortunately, it’s constantly draining power from my battery as it keeps the light engine on while the car is off (solution would be to unplug the power plug from light engine).
    Do you still think i can do what you did with the lighter fuse and successfully have the light engine only turn on with the car like yours?

    • @ReynaldoVelasquez
      @ReynaldoVelasquez  2 года назад

      Hey! So obviously the red and black wire are the power source and negative. The extra thin black wire that just sticks out about 3 inches is supposed to be the antenna for the remote , I believe..... and the newer models, that have Bluetooth have since replaced this string antenna with a solid plastic antenna. And the microphone for the music is another little spot on the light engine. If you have it wired to the audio fuse.... just wire it to the cigarette lighter fuse and it shouldn’t drain your battery any more. If you can, use an “add a circuit fuse tap” to be extra safe. Then, It will only power up while the car is running. Hope this helps buddy. Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll try to respond in less than a day. Good luck!
