In this video, I go through the process of showcasing the entire wiring portion of a DIY Starlight headliner install. I show where to connect the negative wire, the positive wire, which fuse to tap into, and how to get everything working so that when your car turns on, the star lights turn on as well. Feel free to screen shot the diagram and use as needed!

First i have to compliment your car, you did an excellent job and it looks fantastic! I have a couple questions for anyone willing to answer. 1. How did you choose your pattern or did you drill random holes? And 2. Once the holes are drilled can you easily find them again, or do you need to mark them well to see where you've drilled? Any help at all will be greatly appreciated🤘
I honestly just drilled randomly into each of the 4 quadrants and I would mark with a pen first before you drill so you know exactly what to drill and if your stars are spaced out enough. But everyone does it differently so find what works best for you too

Ok I understand everything until you mentioned wiring to the front. What’s going to the front if the wiring is in the back?
When i did my starlight’s my dome light and my visor lights won’t work at all unless i turn them from that little switch in the left side of the steeringwheel any one knows why or did it happen with any of y’all
Hey I saw your vid on installing starlight on the vehicle. I however have a different vehicle. Honda civic 2020. I can’t use the accessory fuse because I am installing lights on my doors. so what other fuse can I use to put a double fuse tap ??

Or you could just put a switch on the positive wire and leave it on, it won’t be on when the car is off since it works with the drl’s. Switch it off completely when you want it off and the drl’s still work
At that point, couldn’t you just connect it straight to the battery and use the switch to toggle it on and off? But agreed, this would also work if you want more control of when it’s on and off
@@NabeelIqbal97 Yeah the positive wire is connected straight to the battery like you did, and the switch should be on that wire. The switch is meant to be on all the time (the star lights won’t be on when the car is off). Say your battery bad running low voltage one morning and you need to keep some electronics off to start the car, that’s when you’d go to your trunk and flip the switch off and start your car.
@@NabeelIqbal97Im lowkey confused, so when you use a kill switch you can wire the positive straight to the battery and the negative to a ground?
What top fuse number did you used on it
Whats up man I got one question please reach back, so when you connect the fuse tap you mentioned that you take off the fuse that is originally in slot 47 and put it on the fuse tap on top of that another fuse for the star lights . I got the same car but in slot 47 there was no fuse to begin with so can I still connect the fuse tap there ?
I would look at what that fuse connects to on the diagram and see if it will work for you. You might have to find another depending on that

Bought a car with the star light headliner. I cant turn it off even when car is not running. Draining batteries like crazy. Mechanics say they dont bother with that stuff. Any suggestions why it wont turn off .
Probably hard wired to a power source…. Soo you’re kinda fucked you’d have to take down your headliner and investigate

Hello. Is the fuse the same for mostly any car? I am trying this on my Mercedes
The process is the same but the fuse won’t be exactly. You should be able to tap into another fuse that turns on with the car
what type of fuze tap do you use? is it a micro one
If you wanted to do a different car how would you know what fuse to tap into?
Trial and error and you can look at the fuse diagram and see what you think might work
lol doing this on my scat right now, doing the meteors showers and the lights is so tedious, the fibers are so unorganized it’s annoying but getting it done this weekend 💪🏽

I made sure to test the app first thing so honestly not sure
Does it specifically have to have the 5 amps fuze because I have the meteor and stars plugged in on one cord and trying to plug it into the fuze box but it’s not turning on???
First thing I would do is test if your wires are right first. Told them against the battery and see if they turn on. Then do the fuse tap option and make sure the cars on
Can I use the f12 fuze ?

Is there a certain way you're supposed to put the positive wire into the fuse tap? I'm stuck on this part.
The positive on your power cable should just get crimped into the blue end of the fuse tap and you should be good
Is the negative cable long enough from the front of the car to the battery?
Nope! That’s why I mentioned to extend the wire somehow. It’s not nearly long enough

@@_wavyaaron_9876 I took a cord I didn’t need and crimped it with the one it came with, ran it up my passenger side pillar right by the seat literally to the right of it and ran it to my battery

Try any fuse that turns on when you turn the car on. Cigarette lighter plug, media console, screens, stuff like that

@@NabeelIqbal97 with that mounting point for the led box did you have any issues with it sitting back flush
That gap where I placed it is there regardless so it sits how it would sit stock and is the place majority of people place it
Last thing do I need to get an extension wire for the tap I have the fuse tap but I didn’t know if I needed to get an extra extension so the wire will reach to the back of the trunk
Yeah you’ll need to get one. But if you have any 12 plug or cig lighter plug laying around the house you can just cut that and repurpose it like I did. You’ll need about 3-4 ft of wire is my guesstimate
What gauge wire do you gotta use to tap into the main wire
