You guys really screwed up by not taking advantage of the quick change Barrel system and making dedicated separate supersonic and subsonic with appropriate twist and gassing.
Noticed this is an A3 M1 AUG, will the barrels all be interchangeable across the M1 and just released M2 variants? Since the M2 doesn’t have the vertical grip attached to the barrel like the M1.
I was excited about this firearm, until you said it wouldn’t work with subsonics without a can. All it takes is one more port. My DI AR 10 1/2” will shoot any 300blk I put through it. Non adjustable gas block.
If you have the AUG A2 or A3 you can switch out optics as well, except instead of having to swap out an entire upper receiver with barrel and optic you'll only have to swap out the barrel and optic and can leave out the receiver.
A quality QD optics mount will stay zeroed as long as you put it on the same rail spot. So you only have to bring an extra barrel and optics to hot swap on the field, instead of a whole upper.
Really happy to see you guys are coming to market with new stuff finally. The AUG as a platform has so much potential.
What are the things coming that are going to use this new different gas block?
awesome gun and idea!

neat, wish the gas system handled fouling better but .300 blk is such a weird cartridge that it is what it is
Wow

308 AUG?
Out of curiosity, is the gas port size on the barrel?
When 6.5 grendel coming out?
When and where will I be able to buy this?
7.62x39mm and 5.45x39mm aug conversion barrels and bolts pls
Dude no
Steyr will never make a barrel and bolt for a non-NATO round, unless some aftermarket company comes along and does it
@@zarkthepiratei know that in Russia they have auh a1 with 5.45x39 calibre.
@@i-tunes2025 unless you can provide a source, I'm just gonna believe that you're talking out your ass
@@zarkthepirate G00gle it, or you banned in Google L00ser🤣🤣🤣🤣

I have no clue why you would shoot subsonic without a can, but it's your money, you can waste it however you want
I think I just saw TFB channel James Reeves firing it in semi.. I just picked up the M2 and the extra barrel in 300 :)
Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹
Swapping AR upper from 556 to 300blk brings the properly zeroed sights or optics with it, how can this compete with that?

Short. Light.
It's much easier, cheaper and lighter. Do you carry a second upper in the pack? Second barrel isn't that big of a deal

Lighting could be better
Ahahahahahahhahahahaha. This was a great April Fools joke
