    The tts is a super car for the money and highly tunable. The mirrors are actually brushed aliminuim. The DSG is 5.2 0-60mhp and the manual is 5.4 secs I am 6ft 2 and got lots of room and the kids fit in the back no problem at all 👍 The hairdresser joke comes from the 2001 mk1 tt which is a completely different car to the mk2.

    Everyone overlooks the huge advantage the back seats bring! Push the passenger seat forward a little and there's ample room for 2 kids. Then you have a sports car suitable for school runs, works really well for me.

    I've got an 11 plate 3dr s3 8p manual , I also looked at the tts but the s3 just made more sense for my needs, each to their own but manual all the way for me when it comes to a hot hatch.

    I have a 2010 TTS that I have owned from new, it has just hit 58000 miles. Just love it, normally I have got bored quickly with driving the same car, not this one.
    Black on the out side, black and red inside, what could be better. and best of all it's a stick change. Strangely I have not changed a thing it is totally standard just as it came out of the factory.

    Nice video! I love my manual TT 08 plate, 60K miles. Picked up last year in mint condition. The TT was made for A and B roads which happens to be my way to work every day. I'd love to take it to the Lake District or Highlands. The dealer I got it from sent me to an A road nearby to have a go for the first time on any TT. Came back reluctantly after 30 minutes and bought it on the spot. Love my SUV for the road trip and bad weather but the TT is a joy to drive. May upgrade to the TTS at some point but won't rush.

  • @sinnysinsin_

    I'm 6'1" and have a tts and there's plenty room! Maybe he will agree now you've told him how to lower the seat haha. Mine is a face-lift DSG that is stage 2 tuned by R-Tech and it's a proper little weapon. The hair dresser car digs come from Jeremy Clarkson fan boys from the video he made on the mk1 years back and it's stuck. Luckily I don't give a monkey what people think and it's helped me get it for decent money if anything. Bang for buck you can't get much better imo

    • @JWL-UK
      @JWL-UK 3 года назад +1

      You're absolutely right. The hairdresser comment is so stupid. I used to dream about the car when I was 18 living in Brazil. Moved up here some 15 years ago and got me a TT last year to be my daily when weather is decent without ever hearing the comment and then someone mentioned it and I went that's rubbish, who says that? It's only in this country that people would say this about the car. Proper car people in other countries would just go you know not what you say. Anywhere in North or South America the TT is just a huge icon and worth 3-4 times more than here.

    • @MrZyLeXx
      @MrZyLeXx 3 года назад

      @@isucc4shekels779 The ride isn't what i would call good but neither was it in my S3 8P, so it might just be the chassie. I do have lowering springs. I do really like my Cupra R but i do miss my S3 at the same time. If you're getting a TTS/S3 I think you might as well get a DSG, cause whats the reason for haldex if not. If you're thinking about a manual car i would go with a Cupra R unless you feel the need for DSG/Haldex.

    • @isucc4shekels779
      @isucc4shekels779 3 года назад

      @@MrZyLeXx Thanks for the reply, I'm thinking it would probably be the dsg if I did choose the TT as I've heard nothing but good things about the dsg. The Audi would be my first automatic and I've heard it's a cracking car but a bit dull to drive. I guess it just comes down to comfort Vs feedback.

    • @MrZyLeXx
      @MrZyLeXx 3 года назад

      @@isucc4shekels779 I mean it's different to what u compare it to. Get a tune n an exhaust, they're not dull anymore. But fully stock they're quite boring honestly. I feel that's the problem with most german 4cyl cars.

    • @isucc4shekels779
      @isucc4shekels779 3 года назад

      @@MrZyLeXx I'm more on about the handling as a few friends who previously owned S3's, TT's etc have said there's little to no feedback resulting in a rather lifeless drive once the new car excitement wears off. I probably will just end up going for TTS since it's a banging package for the price they're currently going for. It's a shame to see so many diluted 4 pots nowadays but i guess they're all just competing for the largest market share.
