There is no need to update as frequently as they are releasing this software. I have used Office 2003, 2007, and 2016 in my life. Each one has been perfectly adequate and sufficient to get work done for about 8 to 10 years. The only upgrade that people should consider is using 2 monitors as their permanent set up. Delivering PowerPoint presentations is sweet with 2 screens during a remote discussion.

I agree, and 2003 and 2010 was the best version cause it’s simple easy to use and not full of useless garbage and features.

Can’t wait to see the visual refresh! I currently have office 365 student professional plus with my school and I’ve updated to windows 11 (i was very early, got it on the first day!) but the square windows and overall design looks highly out of place on windows 11, so can’t wait to get this update!

If you have the pro version, it's possible with hyper V. Sanbox I haven't tried yet. I haven't faced any big issues with Windows 11 so far and I like it. Other solution is to make a full backup of your data/application and then make the upgrade. At the moment, it's no problem to downgrade again if you do not like 11.

I already own Microsoft Office 2010 and use that on my desktop computer because it’s convenient and gets the job done.
However, my current laptop doesn’t have an external disk drive, and my other one is so old that it’s unsupported and thus the activation code can’t be used on the latest version, getting a free upgrade.
Hmmm… I don’t know if I want to get Microsoft Office 2021 or wait for the next version to come out. Or just subscribe to the Personal plan.
I think the subscription plan isn’t useful if you own it long term so might as well buy it outright.

Congratulations on the FIRST Million Viewers Kevin. I'm new to your channel but after just one - I have subbed and liked! Well done!
Are there any devices out there that will convert a streamed signal (from a Surface Pro for instance) to a Chromecast-type device - that ALSO has a means to support a 3.5 mm audio output?
I use the same Logitech Z300 2.1 audio system that you do! It's great isn't it? But - now my Surface Pro (used but new to me) is away from my PDP. So I think I can just stream the video to a Chromecast dongle on the PDP but I do not want to move my subwoofer close to the docking station for the Surface Pro. Video - I think I've got a solution. But what to do with the audio??
    Thanks Kevin.

bro sorry for asking off topic of your video.
How to search for a slide in powerpoint? In this case it is not the page number, not the text in a "Text Box" and not the text on the slides.
What I'm asking is "how to find a slide".
Maybe maybe the slide should be named first, or how I don't understand. What is certain is that in a file (it has to be one file, it doesn't need to be split. Because sometimes you still use objects on other slides to create new slides) there are 200 slides. Then I'm confused about finding a specific slide/certain label.

Helpful video, but what's not clear is the difference between the feature set in the Home and Student version, the Home Business version and the Pro version. Microsoft is horrible at simply demonstrating the differences between these versions. This is made worse when 365 is compared and some versions of 36 5 don't have features that other versions of 365 has, but there's no easy way to tell what version of 365 you have or how (or if) you can upgrade with new features. For example, I have the relatively new slide zoom feature on my app, but it doesn't show up on the version of 365 that we're at our office, and there's no easy way to see how we can get this feature included in 365. Frankly, it's horrible trying to sort all this out.

I hate "auto-save". I had to disable that in my employee laptop because I very often go into a version of a document and hit "save-as" to save a new version of the document. It is a lot of work to undo everything to save the old version, and then redo everything to save the new version. Again, it's a useless feature that takes control away from the "user".

    • @eliahabib5111
      @eliahabib5111 2 года назад +1

I too hate the switch to autosave. Especially the way they did it in 365.
Autosave is quite useful but the switch require learning some new rutine:
      1. With autosave do the save as before you start any change, not after like we do without.
      2. With autosave, consider switching the document to read only, this prevent autosave from working unexpectedly.
      3. Ensure versioning is on. It waste a lot of space, but at least if you accidentally change something you should be able to restore a previous version.
Btw autosave exists on google docs since day one. And multiple editing (that I think microsoft anounced already 3 years ago) was added on google docs at least 5 years ago

Hi, Is there any way to add a list of words in ms word, then, when I type any word of the list ,it turns, for example, to red or any chosen colour, or to be underlined. I dont know if you understand my question! Thanx

Let’s start a betting pool on how long Microsoft will offer these non-subscription versions of Office. It’s like the hardware VGA video port, just when you think it’s finally going away, it pops up on the latest desktop computer offering.

Here's my bet: As long as Google and Apple give their comparable Office suite away for free, MS will make it available as a non-sub option--so forever.

I bought a pc ( dell ) and it comes with default windows 10 1607 version. Does office 2021 support it?
I don't like updating my pc since it may make it slower over time.
    Thanks in advance.

All the new features you see here in Office 2021 are what you get above and beyond Office 2019.
