One amp that I think works great as a starter amp is the Orange Crush 12. It's loud, got interesting tones. Plays music and doesn't model and looks very cool. I wish it was still around. Great video btw :)

Vox Pathfinder stands out for me👍the clean is so beautiful
I have the vox, it has a great clean sound with more volume with the overdrive engaged and the gain turned down to zero, you don't really need to do the mod on the LEDs, also if you do you would void your warranty. Thank you for a great comparison. The Marshall seems the best allrounder in my opinion, I'm not a great lover of the Katana they seem plasticy to me.

@@gauravpandey2193 Shooting the new E Series from Kepma today. Also a shootout with the Yamaha FX310, Cort A810e, Kadence Slowhand and EDCe from Kepma. Basically the best semi acoustic dreadnought option under 15k. Will probably do a part 2 of this type of shootout as well with the winner taking on 3 more brands maybe like Washburn, Squier and maybe Ashton.

Sir, I used to play acoustic but now I'm switching to Electric. I have planned to spend somewhere around 11-12k at max with no further stretch possible. Your guitar sounded too muddy; maybe it's the humbuker, the mic or something else,?I don't know. It sounded so muddy that if I had to choose a crunch sound from these clips for a mix, I'd go with the Kustom sound crunch tone. It sounded like it would sound like a decent fuzz if it had more gain.
The other OD channels didn't impress me, the Stranger sounded like the speaker has holes BUT the clean channel sounded the best here!! My little brother has the Katana, and it sounds awesome. In contrast, your clip made it sound like it's covered by a blanket.
I'm not trying to be harsh or imply I'm superior; I'm just stating the obvious

All these amps cost less than 8k so our advise is to go for a quality one which in our opinion is the Boss Katana.

People here on RUclips and in many forums suggest a so called "LED mod" for the VOX Pathfinder10.
Which is basically nothing but to break the circuit consisting 2 LEDs, inside the amp, which they say is a clipping circuit which engages when we push the overdrive button.
They claim that it does increase the headroom of the amp, thus gives smoother overdrives when pushed.
But I fear damaging my amp.
Would you recommend such a mod?
Would you recommend a speaker replacement/ connecting an external speaker?
If yes, which one to go for?
(I would let you know what sound I want, once you give a 👍.)
Honestly if it ain't broke don't fix it. Especially during these times where you would need to get a tech to repair in case things goes sideways. Still if you are open to tinkering and have a backup amp then go for it but it may be more prudent to buy a better overdriven amp. There is a really cost effect option (Rs.7 to 8k) on ProcraftIndia.com which we are reviewing next on RUclips.com/guitargeargyan and its loud (25W) and the distortion is amazing.
