    Literally meaning pepper water. Mulligatawny Soup is an Anglo-Indian invention. Created by servants for the British Raj who demanded a soup course from a cuisine that had never produced one. You can make this soup a day ahead and you can add chicken pieces in the soup as well.

    3-4 cloves Garlic
    1 Tsp Ginger
    5-6 Curry Leaves
    1 medium Onion
    1 Green Chilli
    1 small Carrot
    1 medium Apple
    1 Tbsp Soaked Basmati Rice
    2 Tbsp Toor (Arhar)Dal Cooked
    1 Tbsp Curry Powder
    1 Cup Chicken Stock
    1 Bay Leaf
    1 Cup Coconut Milk
    100 gm Boneless Chicken (diced into 1 inch cubes)
    Salt to Taste
    Black Pepper Powder to taste
    Oil as Required
    Water if required
    1 Tsp Coriander Stem
    1 Tsp Lemon Juice
