  • Mulligatawny Soup dates back to the days of the British in India. Mulligatawny is basically a curry-flavoured soup that often contains a bit of chicken. The name Mulligatawny comes from two Tamil words meaning 'pepper water'. Mulligatawny Soup is a true fusion of British and Indian cuisines, invented centuries before the concept of fusion became popular.

Looks great! Here in the States, Mulligatawny Soup (in the places I've had it) is more like an Indian flavored minestrone. I'll have to give your version a try.

Mulligatawny soup is one of my go-to's, but I have never made it just eaten the tinned. I think it is incorrectly described on the tine as a beef curry soup, but don't hold me to that. Glad you did it with chicken. thoughts to Mrs Keef, missed her.

Garlic and ginger paste is easy to make e.g. 150g of each, add water (or oil) blitz et voila, tastes great. Leave the ginger skin on, no need to press the garlics

You could rename it Mulligagallones after the famous Gallones Ice Cream from my home town which ironically is Northampton’s legendary premium ice cream since 1895 ;) Maybe patent it lol. Hi Keef
    I'm Dringa vlogs
I'm completely blind, autistic and have a chronic heart condition.
I found your video because I was looking for a vid about the spotted dick pudding.
You see, because of my autism, I have what are called special interests, which is like a hobby on steroids, a topic I like to research the crap out of.
One of my new ones is the British bread pudding called "spotted dick."
I can tell you where the name comes from.
The spotted part comes from the dried fruit inside the bread, which give it a spotted appearance.
The "dick" was an old word for "pudding."
Originally, the word was "puddink," which was shortened to "dink," which was shortened to "dick."
I've never had it before, but it's on my birthday list, which is three months from now.
I'm not from the UK, but I was interested in the specific pudding I specified earlier.
My youtube channel is Dringa vlogs
    Please check me out?
You'll find a lot of product reviews and other interesting things.

Damn fine soup my man! Bloody well not cricket though how Roosevelt and Churchill ended our wonderful Empire. There would be none of this damn backbiting and turmoil if we still had the Raj, kept them in their place you see, let them know who is the boss. Discipline, that's the key, bloody good thrashing with a bamboo pole when they step out of line, just like looking after children. Damn good thrashing never did anyone any harm what!
Best go easy with that Tamarind eh, loosens the bowels terribly, nothing worse than blowing out a guff over a G & T only to realise you have followed through, Damn inconvenience when you let one fly from the chutney closet.
