Reduce speed limits...speed kills. 16 major cities just instituted SLOWER SPEED LIMITS to reduce the # of deaths by car. BE A KIND HUMAN, SLOW DOWN, PROTECT OTHERS, GIVE A CARE.
Yeah no one obeys speed limits so it's not going to help
I live very close to this area, and I honestly think something needs to be done to reduce the speed of the traffic coming through here. Many motorists use this as a bypass for the freeway, but when they drive through our neighborhood, they still drive at freeway speeds, and as you can see from the images, its not meant to be driven safely at those speeds.
I lived close to there too. The police need to start enforcing the speed limit, that would be a start. The police in Pleasanton don't have much to do I don't understand why they aren't giving tickets.
There should be traffic calming measures north of this point. There are three though lanes and the pavement is very wide to accommodate many turn lanes for people headed to the shopping mall, office buildings, and the freeway. This gives the impression that it is a highway when all the signal lights are green. It is only when a driver reaches the point where it is reduced to one lane that the feeling of the road changes, and a person who is not aware of the change will not be mentally prepared to take the basic precaution of driving the speed limit.
Very tragic. My daughter studied with the brothers who also tragically passed away there. Very sad 😢
who were they? any idea?
@@MimiVerbana was it an indian family?
@@radhika6212 Yes and they were driving a tesla according to a neighbor
@@asu85255they were a vinfast
what the heck did the helicopter have to do with anything???
The helicopter was a news helicopter gathering news footage of the scene of the accident.
@@RaymondHng thank you
Remember that guy that drove his family off the cliff on the 1 ?
I lived off of foothill blvd and people speed through there at very high speed, I've actually called the police about it. One day I slowed down for a turkey and a car passed me going at least 80 and spattered the turkey all over my car, didn't even slow down. There's also deers in the area, please slow down people. The police need to step up enforcement, I lived there for 3 years and never seen them giving tickets but I got pulled over twice for tinted windows. My condolences to the family and friends of the victims.
Called the police about speeding lol. Sounds like Pleasanton.
The police won't do anything. What you should do is ask the city to lay down speed bumps.
Kron 4 report-
There is no indication of alcohol or foul play being involved, police said.
Video from the scene appeared to indicate that the vehicle had struck a pole before striking a tree and bursting into flames. The tree had fresh burn marks on it and the scene was covered in flame retardant foam.
Remnants of wreckage found at the scene indicated that the vehicle was an electric car.
That's one thing that scares me about ev vehicles, them bursting into flames. A lot of people in Pleasanton drive tesla too.
@@crosales8184I suspect when a hot EV battery strikes a pole or a tree, it may explode.
@@amols101 While impacts with electric vehicles (EVs) can result in fires, explosions are extremely rare and typically occur only in very severe collisions or under specific circumstances involving the battery. EV batteries are designed with safety features to minimize the risk of explosions and to contain any potential fire hazards.
In a high-impact collision, there is a possibility that the battery pack could be damaged, potentially leading to a thermal runaway event where the battery overheats and catches fire. However, modern EV designs incorporate measures to mitigate these risks, such as reinforced battery enclosures, thermal management systems, and crash sensors that can disconnect the battery in the event of a collision.
It's important to note that explosions in EVs are highly uncommon and are not a typical outcome of a collision. EV manufacturers continuously work to improve the safety of their vehicles and reduce the likelihood of such incidents through rigorous testing and engineering advancements.
This road is also a deer crossing.
Juliette Goodrich is from Pleasanton.
I guess it is not a Tesla. Otherwise, the title of the video would be totaly different and the journalist would have narrated everything negative about the Teslas and Elon Musk at length.
it was a Vinfast.
So so sad 😞
May God rest their souls❤❤❤❤🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽!!! I know their family and friends' hearts are heavy💔!!!
As multiple crashes have occurred on this road, probably interview traffic safety experts and inform the viewers if there is anything about the road design that may be contributing to this? Or safety signs may help?
RIP 😒
It's not the road, it's people speeding, I lived very close to that street and drove on it everyday. The speed limit is 35 but people go much faster and there's 2 schools nearby.
@@crosales8184The speed limit is 45 mph. But I agree that people exceed that.
I am slightly irritated that people are referring to a history of fatal crashes at the "same place." The stretch of road that is prone to crashes is a few miles long, and the crashes may have taken place with similar conditions, but some of the reports make it sound like the 2019 deaths happened from striking the exact same tree.
So they were South Asian? This bizarrely reminiscent of that incident last year with the Indian father driving his whole family off of devil’s slide in their Tesla.
Family of four .
That incident is unrelated.
@@RaymondHng
I know it’s unrelated because that other family is from SoCal. This is not that specific family.
Just saying .
Other things in the stories are similar.
@@pushslice This family has not been identified yet pending notification of relatives. This site has had four accidents before.
@@RaymondHng
Wait, you’re intimating there’s a chance it’s the same family?
I definitely won’t go there. You’re on your own on that.
@@pushslice Absolutely not.
Their have been four separate accidents at this site. Three teens lost their lives here on Dec 25, 2019.
Probably an argument in the car.
What is this EV car ? Any one know ?
This is a Vinfast, EV car from Viet Nam
Dont buy a vinfast. Their lease are so cheap for a reason. S
Rip... so many perished in EV crash. Terrible way to go.
EV=Everyone Vanished
EV=everyone vanished.
I told people to stop buying EV, they crash, everyone dies. Also, EVs malfunction! Rip
2:58 -> Huyndai ?
Hyundai was the car the twins were driving.
Clearly we should ban cars
Question when an electric car weather Tesla or knock off (😉) do the door locks become impaired where they can’t be unlocked? So much for high tech green future mandated cars.
as for tesla there are manual door releases.
Senior are wreckless at driving
OH YOU SHUT UP, TRUMP!!!!!
