I knew some guy who would sleep in some ones private business parking lot, in exchange he would keep the place secure at night. He had a tent and everything, a real backpacker, he would even have a small fire going in a trash can during the winter months. It was in an industrial area, this was back in 2014. Then again, the guy may not have had a home but he worked like 12 hr-14hr shifts in the neighborhood, really held his own and was a part of the community. I think that's what's missing in this picture.
Like paying for them to leave their whole lives because they refuse to conform to society and get a job and live like we do. Actually it's pretty comfortable. Having space in the trees with all your blankets and sleeping bags and in my case.my.pups it's pretty relaxing until the government and city officials get involved

I tried to put a pallet skid up in a tree when i was homless and then put a mattress up there so i could get some sleep in peace. But i couldnt get it up in the tree. my idea was a homeless tree house off king george highway in surrey.

If I start a crowdfunding campaign to build small homes on land near LA (somewhere like Santa Clarita). I’m talking thousands of small Homes for the homeless that wouldn’t cost more than maybe $1k each, would people support it? I’d even make it “a place of worship” to avoid property tax so really all there would be is maintenance and food from donations which can be tax write offs.
