@@uncletiggermclaren7592 what do you mean they are doing their job? Surveillance footage was pretty clear. If they watched this, there would have been no reason to charge him. Your reasoning means well, but you are ALSO setting up the rules to allow ANY individual to take the law into their own hands. Sure, when the situation calls for it I support it, but now ANY one can fire their weapon at others based on their personal view of what was happening.
@@markstewart4501 Yes, anyone can open fire based upon their perception of the situation.
How is that different from any other action an adult may take in their daily life?
The key with all actions is to be deliberate, decisive and responsible.
The whole philosophy of "an armed society is a polite society" is based upon a foundation of not acting rashly.
You don't draw and fire without good reason AND don't be so foolish as to give a person a reason to draw and fire at you.
@@pauld6967 I get that you have an IDEOLOGY that you approve of, but I don't believe it will work in reality. You don't get to be more correct by then concluding that every person that shots the wrong person is just not a good person...and continue to let people get shot.
@WokerThanThou ah, you call it hypothetical while not being able to grasp at actual iterations. By your logic all car wrecks are equal? RIGHT! He didn't HAVE to help. He CHOSE to help. He saved a life. He did the MORAL action. And he is punished for it.
Yes, and I find it absurd that democrats want to treat people like him as the criminal.
More people with alcohol in their system shooting at people ??? What if he hit an innocent victim?? He deserves to rot in prison
Yes a bit like the marine did in this new York Subway!
Sorry, but the customer is guilty of reckless endangerment and reckless discharge of a firearm...the latter is a crime in Michigan. You can't claim self-defense during the commission of a crime. If the customer had discharged his firearm OUTDOORS, it would be one thing, but he could have easily hit the cashier and it was done in a crowded store.
The customer who shot at the thief to protect the victim should be rewarded millions of dollars for saving store clerk's life.
There should be NO CHARGES on this man. We need more like him.
Not even a purchase charge for the beer or the broken liquor bottle.
If it was bud light in his hands he needs to go to jail 😂😅🤣

The man should be lauded as a HERO!
Give that man a commendation. He could done nothing or even taken off with items in hand but he stopped to help. We need more people like this.
The customer should be given a medal for being a good Samaritan but instead Robber was released and the hero is under investigation.

We should start a Go Fund Me anyway. Call it a reward.

Not aiming to be rude but, haven't you noticed, we've already given more rights to criminals in this country. It's sad that you have to be worried about protecting yourself in the U.S. for fear of getting sent to prison even when you were clearly in the right.
Here in New York, the robber will be awarded $83.3 million and the good samaritan will go to jail for life!!!
Make a note of it
Heros aren't defined by the law, they are defined by their actions. This man deserves a parade.
More importantly they’re defined by the community! Can’t let them define who a hero is to us!

Notice that the Shooter is NOT holding a 6-pak of Bud Light ?
Um...sure. Maybe he should get some training on how to handle and use a firearm. Seven shots to only hit him three times, and still not kill him? Civilians with toys.
Disgusting that they are even thinking about charges for this law-abiding citizen
This is normal for any shooting. They investigate and then decide. A sane world this wouldn’t see a courtroom.
Give him a medal and free beer for a year!!
Because they shot at the guy 7 times
Y'all are crazy if they ever didn't investigate a shooting for looking like self-defense people would just set up fake self-defense appearing shootings and bait people. Which does still happen

There should be no charges on that man . He did his duty protecting that store clerk . There should be a nationwide law protecting men like him who protect others in a life or death situation like this!
'he saved my life' vs three time convicted felon going for his 4th felony with deadly weapon; i would give the customer a medal not a charge.
Give the Customer a Medal! American needs more people like him!
And a free 6 pack.
For the rest of his life...
It's unbelievable that even with a video showing what happened, the DA is considering filing charges on the guy who saved the employee.
Its Michigan.
Welcome to the Liberal World where criminals have more rights than a law biding citizen. In Los Angeles and San Francisco he would be back on the street without putting up bail and not even charges and the customer would get arrested per the new law where you can not stop a crime.
It is Michigan under Whitmer. They penalize hero and promote criminal.
Democrats run
Waste of taxpayers money if they file charges. No jury is going to convict him. The robber using a box cutter justifies the use of force in self defense.

If they bring charges against this man for protecting his community it would be a shame and an atrocity.
From the district attorney's comments in this video, it sounds unlikely that he will bring charges against the customer who shot the robber.
