The bird sanctuary with the peacocks reminded me of Cuernavarca in Mexico, the restaurant Las Manantitas (sic) where they wandered around as diners ate escamole ( the eggs if ants that live in the Agave plant, more expensive than caviar) topped with dried crickets. Pit vipers are dangerous. Never hike alone in the jungle because there are scorpions, pythons, cobras, and finally tigers.

I think the Coral Beach you may have heard of is not on Pankor, but Pankor Laut, a tiny island next door to Pankor. It is a truly amazing place.
No coral beach is at pangkor. Pangkor laut is private and expensive. The late Pavarotti stayed there
