Kuala Lumpur is the MOST Underrated City in the WORLD ----> lets just keep it as it is. I am Malaysian, and I guest most of Malaysian prefer to be reserved about what Malaysia is all about. Anyway, we welcome everyone to our country with open heart. Have a pleasant stay and WELCOME BACK 😊😊
That's not good economically because tourism makes up around 14% of the GDP. There's definitely more potential for tourism to grow in Malaysia in order to become a high income country.
@@adamrsamian3964 That's due to government incompetence. Without tourists, the tourism industry would collapse, leading to widespread economic hardship in many regions. Businesses that rely on tourism, such as hotels, restaurants, and tour operators, taxi drivers and even doctors and nurses (medical tourism) would suffer, leading to job losses and financial instability. This is why during the pandemic, many Malaysians withdraw from KSWP because there's little income.
I lived in KL for four years starting 2002 to 2006. Had a blast. Oh yes son you must eat whenever you feel hungry. There aren't any restrictions. KL is a diverse city and the food is great especially Malay food.
I lived 4 years in Kuala Lumpur as a student. Kuala Lumpur is right up there with first-world countries in terms of infrastructure, whether it's housing, buildings, malls, or transportation. It is an unbelievable city.
Nice to see you are back in KL. I usually stay at the Robertson so I'm very familiar with the complex and the neighborhood. I'm sure you've discovered by now that behind that locked door off the kitchen is likely a washing machine. I've stayed in several apartments in the Robertson and most have a washing machine. The last one I stayed in even had a dryer...very unusual to see that. Just Fruits is a great place to buy most groceries. There are some restaurants, cafes and even a craft beer place located in a secluded small neighborhood directly behind the Robertson. You can access it by going to the first floor, walking through the parking garage, and walking out the back entrance. The "Sky Needle" is KL Tower. They do a light show on the tower in the evenings. That's a Catholic church across the street. You'll hear the bells at 6 am and 6 pm every day. The 15 minute walk to Pavilion Mall and the other cool places around there (like Damascus) is reasonable. From that outdoor section in Pavilion you can walk to Suria KLCC using a covered and somewhat airconditioned elevated walkway. The area with all the bars is Changkat. You're right about KL being a place no one talks about in the US. No one seems to know anything about it. Not sure why it's that way but it is definitely undiscovered for most Americans. For me, it's one of my favorite cities in the world. Enjoy!!
while living in Vietnam i would go to Kuala Lumpur if i was missing America. Very modern yet inexpensive. If you love shopping, Kuala Lumpur is a must visit destination.
Same, I'm just doing my visa run from Vietnam to KL again this month. But I find the city terribly boring with nothing to do apart from going to the mall and eating the very tasty but calorific Middle Eastern./ Indian / Malay fusion food. Penang and Bangkok have a lot more to offer. I'll give the city this second chance now, if it doesn't captivate me any more than last time, I'll go to other cities instead.
