People need to stop turning a blind eye to fixing in 'minor leagues' that we don't care about like ILT20, Abu dhabi t10 etc. If you let fixing flourish there it will eventually spread in some form to IPL & International cricket. Once the bookies have you in it's hard to say no later.

I watch cricket with pretty naive eyes but pak v usa at the world cup got me questioning. I also watched an indian tv series called inside edge recently, its a drama about a fictional ipl league and that opened my eyes a bit to think that stuff is really going on.

I can’t understand why no one is talking about the state of New Zealand Cricket?
Why was it that they didn’t play their first game in the WC till a week after the tournament started where some teams had already played 2 games and now after 2 defeated games to Afg and WI they still have 2 games to play but can’t qualify for the super 8’s

They wanted the Windies (and USA) to play first as they are the hosts. The ICC wanted The Windies to play against two minnows to help them out as a host nation. It will increase their chance of going through with back to back wins ensuring ticket sales in the Super 8s. They also made sure that India and Pakistan played in the US, to ensure ticket sales and made India play at prime time, made India play Pakistan as always for television rev (same as England vs Australia), and made England play in Barbados and Antigua which are two of the most popular islands visited by English tourists. The ICC are a joke when it comes to their scheduling. Unfortunately, teams like NZ provide nothing for the ICC so they'll have to suffer

Making sports betting legal in India would lead to a lot of tax revenue for the government. Indian Tax revenue from betting on PSL would be more than PSL ticket income multiple times over.

I read Ed's book quite a few years ago and it was very eye opening. The situation around Mohammad Amir was very interesting and what the purpose of that was. I certainly have a more sympathetic view to some of the individuals who were involved, especially the younger ones. As an Essex fan, I think the whole affair with Danish Kaneria was so sad. But there were a lot of senior and experienced cricketers that were part of that team and I find it difficult to understand how there were no concerns or questions raised. Not saying that anyone else was complicit but just how other people didn't notice or didn't have any concerns.

Forget 10 years. It just happened tonight. I'll admit I've only been watching international cricket for about 5 years, but tonight's Afghanistan vs Bangladesh game is the clearest example of match-fixing I've ever seen in my life. Once Bangladesh knew they couldn't qualify, they absolutely threw that match. Both teams ought to be banned from international cricket for five years. Bangladesh primarily for its instigation of tonight's match-fixing. Afghanistan for its completely appalling human rights abuses. Both teams should be stripped of ICC full memberships and test status. This tournament is forever tainted, end of story. And for the record, I don't think Australia were particularly good enough to merit a place in the semifinals, but what transpired in St. Vincent could be a death knell to cricket's credibility if the media continue to whitewash this travesty, as they seem to be doing in its immediate aftermath.

This whole world cup is highly suspicious. If I didn't know better, I would say that the ICC is telling these teams which games they are allowed to win.

Jarrod kimber should never be in this Panel. He is making a mistake. Its is ok if some one come evidence. Mud slinging and innuendo is not good. That said i find it weird muhammed nabi misfielded so many time in this season of IPL . They keep selecting him to team XI. Reliance do not need money. They own the club just for show off.
Even Chennai super kings N srinivasan is clean family man but his son in law was betting addict. So black sheep in every family will be there. BCCI is watching everything. They have spies in every team as a coach or something. if they see anything weird .. they spring into action and ban them playing cricket. One NZ guy still cant play cricket.
