Harsha Bhogle is one of the cricket world’s most well-known faces. As a commentator he has spent years being the lone non-cricketer in a sea of monosyllabic former greats. But the thing about Harsha being a non-cricketer is that he’s not, he did play the game, and so o this episode we talk about his early life following and playing the game. Then later on he gets bored of talking about himself and stars to question me on the future of cricket and analytics.

One of the easiest Podcasts for all podcasters is inviting Harsha. You just ask the first question, Harsha answers it, forms the cue to the next question, picks it up, answers it, pre-empts the next question, answers it and so on in a loop ;-)

Wonderful , the internet medium of cricket brocast is really good , we can watch when ever you want and what you want. It not like TV were you can see only what they show. I was with cricinfo between 2000 to 2004 , things have improved only , no looking back as far as cricket on internet. This is future.

Can't believe I have listen to a hour and 8 minute long audio podcast on a platform which is meant for video, on a stretch that too on a busy day 🤔
Real good quality content man. Have learned a lesson or two from this podcast for life thanks to the two wise man of cricketing world. 👍🏻
Let me also say why I love commentators like Harsha and now Jarrod. By not have played at the international level, they are not biased towards the cricketers. What they present is a audience view or voice, whatever you might want to call it. You earned a sub here and someone who is going to spread the word around about this channel. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I think we both wanted to be successful bad, so we put that effort into our work. But neither of us were planning on these careers. Which means we have very weird backgrounds which probably meant we can draw on more things than others who have been single minded. More Federer style than Tiger style.

Jarrod has to take into account that the 'cricket phile' that he had encountered growing up isn't the same today. No one reads the books or the articles set out by him or of berry or gatting to really get into the nuts and bolts. It's a whole bunch of Indian kids dumbed over decades by the stupid commentary teams we've had to endure in this part of the world. Even Guha does not count today, due to this fact. The armchair intellectual has exited the game replaced by the adrenaline pumping 'fan'.
