Today, on this very special episode of The Ranveer Show, we welcome S. Sreesanth. Sreesanth is a former Indian cricketer known for his aggressive bowling style and contributions to India's victories in the ICC World Twenty20 in 2007 and the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2011. He has been an inspiration to many aspiring Indian cricket players and cricket fans in general.
In this episode, we will talk about his journey in the Indian Cricket Team, the 2007 World Cup finals, pre-captaincy MS Dhoni, the angriest he has been on the field, first-ever IPL auctions, his relationship with Yuvraj Singh, Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni & much more. We also touched upon the hardest time of his life and how he coped through those years with strength and patience.

4 overs 12 runs and 2 wickets in a high scoring game where india defended by 15 odd runs. He is the one who set the tone and picked the dangerous gilly and game was taken away from India by hyden and symonds. He came back and picked up hyden and turned the game in favor of india.

I remember Shree being the inner myself who gave his best every time he wore blue jersey. One of the magical moment of Shree was in T20 worldcup semi final against Australia. He took 3 wickets and taking India to the final. That Mathew Hayden wicket is still in my head. Such an inspiration 💪✨

History is proof that BCCI has always been biased against players from Kerala. Sreesanth was a genuine wicket taker and would have been one of our best if he played more games. Each time he played, the fire and passion was visible. We'll never forget the Nel episode or his fiery encounters with Hayden or Symmonds. Whoever screwed his career, they deserve hell.

I still remember that night very well when Sree got arrested and we were together going from a lounge to an after party in bandra and he suddenly got arrested by Cbi officers. We as his friends couldn’t believe it and thought someone’s playing a prank on him.

Sree is an amazing person from Kochi Maradu and I hail from Kochi too. He was framed into the IPL Betting as he is a straight forward human being. The rest of them took advantage of him so their names never came out.

He was involved in the match fixing, only reason he is not jailed is because the Indian law doesn’t have the provision to punish cricket fixing which isnt a govt job, same level of crime like playing cards and gambling in villages…not only him many big names came out in the investigation but there is no proper provision to punish them so the case gets thrown out in the court, imagine big names like Kapil Dev , and many more
I have always loved cricketers who express themselves on field,, that shows their passion and love towards their team.... their hunger to win every time they step on to the field....
Thats the reason why i have always loved players like virat, yuvi bhai, zak bhai, bhajji, irfan, sreesanth ofcourse....
Rahul dravid was my favourite player during late 90s to mid 2000....
Rahul bhai was very cool and calm, but that guy silenced everybody with his bat,, great character and even better cricketer....
Love dhoni too, for what he has achieved for indian cricket, i mean three ICC trophies is not everyone's cup of tea....
But one thing about mahi that hurt me was i have seen his passion and him getting furious when he played for CSK.... i remember the match at dharmashala where CSK was chasing against kings 11 punjab, it was semi final i guess, cuz in the early days of IPL their wasnt any playoffs, it was just two semi final games....
Mahi played a fab knock to get his team in the finals , where he was so pumped up that after winning he was literally punching his helmet.... that showed his passion towards winning that game...
And than in the recent past, when csk played against rr, the main umpire signalled no ball as he thought ball was waist high, but the leg umpire turned it down or it may be vive versa, i mean may be leg umpire signalled a no ball and main umpire turned it down....
Mahi who was in dugout came fuming in to the ground charging umpires....
So thats his passion when he plays for CSK.... i wish i could have seen Mahi's aggression when he played in the blue jersey, but sadly that never happened....
So yeah that hurt me, i always wante d to see mahi's aggressive side while playing for india....
Eventually the match between csk and rr that i was talking about was won by CSK, courtsey a last ball six by mitchell santner....

But that thing definitely hurt me, that i have never seen MSD so pumped up when he played for indian national team.....

I don’t know much about this situation he went through not commenting about that, but when i was a kid playing cricket I was waiting for an autograph from him, he was really arrogant, I understand public figures are always hounded but we never did anything close to annoying him, he made us wait for 1-3 hrs almost skipping our lunch for one autograph on the bat. We never hounded him, we were standing quite far away (25 feet) kept on making hand gestures hoping that he would look at us, he looked at us many times but with arrogant and frustrated glances. We were hardly 9 years old. We never troubled him or crowded around him we just waited, he told us to go and he is busy right now, but we just waited there ( he was watching a game) finally he just signed with a frustrated face and sent us back. All I’m trying to say is this guy was really arrogant at one phase of his life. Arrogance will only cause more disasters in life.
