Under Sachin captaincy period I saw Kumble, SujithSomasundaram, Prasad, Srinath, Dravid, Vijay Bharadwaj, Sunil Joshi, Dodda Ganesh & David Johnson all played for India. 1996 - 97 season India toured SA/ WI for long series. All of them except Sujith Somasundaram & Vijay Bharadwaj part of Indian team.
When we look at squads which toured Windies & SA we can find RahulDravid, Kumble & Prasad in all 8 tests, spinner Sunil Joshi in 4 tests in WI, Srinath in 3 tests in SA, pacer D. Ganesh in 3 tests, 2 vs SA & 1 vs WI & pacer D.Johnson 1 test vs SA. These all players played for India from 1st test in SA tour to 1st test in WI tour under Sachin captaincy.
In first 4 tests 20 were filled by these Karnataka & rest were Sachin, Mongia, Azhar & Ganguly in all 4 tests, Laxman in 3 tests, V. Rathore & W. V. Raman in 2 tests and Sidhu in only one test.

I mean like if you have money you wanna join academy obviously you will choose a good and reputed one and that you will find in a metro city. Team based cricket style would bring more international trophies than winning Ranji or trying to give ur best performance imo. The reason AUS is a very successful cricketing nation is because they play as a group like a team sport, listen to their press conferences & tactics after they win matches🧠
