In this stellar episode with former R&AW Chief Vikram Sood, he talks about the evolution of RAW from the intelligence bureau, the gathering of information on adversaries, the 1962 Chinese invasion, and the 1965 Pakistani invasion. It was a true pleasure to host him on AJIO Presents The Ranveer Show.
We also discuss the formation of RAW, its success in the 1971 war with Pakistan over Bangladesh, and its intelligence operations in Bangladesh.
The conversation also touches on the misconception of RAW by the public, and how RAW only deals with external threats. Hope you enjoy this one.

You heard of Joe Rogan? Maybe in India, sure, but in the world, this kid has no influence and he seems very slow due to his indoctrination with propaganda he is being fed. I guess no one noticed when he said "we will talk about whatever that be shared on INDIAN internet" so definitely the internet is sensored in India. Only shows that they can't or never will really have the whole truth. Nothing is inspiring about talking about stuff leaked on Wiki leaks years ago. India is just getting this news? Basically india will never know about their political issues if censored till maybe 50 years from now? Just like this guy came to "expose" the secrets that was stories of 40 years ago.

This is like a ASMR podcast. You can tell this man is trained in making people feel that a lot of information is being given to them while not actually giving anything at all. The pace at which he talks isn't too slow, but is slow enough to make us feel that this is a proper length podcast while if you take a wordcount of how many words were spoken by him, it would be a lot less than the other guest that come and speak for the same amount of time. Also the ability to force a tangent in a conversation in a direction he wants it to move while not even intending to do so is epic.

Ranveer, i loved the way you handled the conversation. It was tactful not to go overboard with the inquisitive questions. I know you held yourself back to make sure the guest was comfortable. And i think he loved you for it and paid you lovely compliments and an invite as well in the end. How sweet !!

Having said that, what particularly strikes me is when Mr. Sood mentioned all sorts of people join R&AW. No doubt Indian Army actively participated in the December of 1971 but since March Muktibahini carried out the guerilla warfare aided by India. Without India's help Independence would not have been possible for Bangladesh but really glad that someone pointing out that Muktibahini was trained by India.
