    This is a channel about crossbow hunting. This is not a channel about shooting big bucks. I don't discriminate--I'll shoot any legal deer. ;) But, sometimes, big bucks happen!
    I want to help make RUclips the #1 place for quality hunting entertainment. I want to help spread the hunting lifestyle. To do that, I set up this channel to showcase the crossbow and help others film their hunts and get those videos online. So, subscribe to this channel to be entertained and learn more about crossbows and filming in the outdoors.
    This channel is about my love of the crossbow, hunting, and the outdoors. I hunt exclusively with the crossbow. I love it. Sure, like a lot of kids, I started hunting with a good ol' Model '94 Winchester .30-30 back in the 80's, but drifted away from hunting when I went off to college, law school, and started a family. As my daughter got older, I regained my interest in the outdoors, and I consider myself lucky to hunt on the same property today that I hunted on as a kid. I got the Excalibur Axiom crossbow in 2010 and I haven't looked back. This channel is the result of combining my interest in filming and hunting...
    ...and music, too! My related channel, Yankee Militia, showcases my music. Some of the music is hunting-related, so check that out, too! The soundtrack for this channel is provided by my band, so the two are intertwined. The albums "Live Free or Kill" and "Zombies Gotta Eat, Too!" are available on Amazon.com and elsewhere. A third album is in the works.
    All Hail Bunjie!

    Rich, I use Lumenok's when shooting from my 12 foot high tree stand/condo. After a no pass through I let everything just lay for an hour. Started getting dark saw the light about 70 yards away and it was still in the deer. Yes sir buddy, I love them. Keep on keeping on Rich, we thank you for all you do for us. Bill

    I also have the lumenok lighted nocks and love them. when my son shot at his first deer he used the wrong distance crosshair and missed. It was late december and there was snow on the ground. After the sun set you could see a large red circle in the snow where the nock light up the snow. Was really neat to see. Also made finding the arrow easy.

This 2020 will only be my second year crossbow hunting. Had a shot at one last year but still havent harvested a deer with my crossbow. I just use the Barnett Jaguar but if its dialed in its deadly accurate with a 16" arrow.

    The nuflecth uses the same light as you will find on the walls of bait shops, which are used for some lighted bobbers. I cannot remember which company makes the ones that fit but that would be easy enough to figure out at a place like bass pro, which would carry a selection of these types of lights. We used to make these nocks, when lighted nocks first came out. In fact, the nufletch is made by the guy who showed me how on archery talk maybe 12 years ago. Basically, the rear of the arrow gets a second insert like the front except that the threads are drilled out, near to the bottom of the insert. The light is dropped in and then the nock throat is cut to length, so that it cannot hit the bottom of the insert. Takes a lot of time to make. Easier and cheaper (if your time is worth anything) to just buy nufletch and us those. Lights last 40-50 hours and are about 3$ each (I think) last time I looked.

    • @dheller777
      @dheller777 4 года назад +1

      You have to pull the nock completely out each time you fire a shot? If so that would be a pain in the butt in a practice situation.

    • @Deathbybunjie
      @Deathbybunjie  4 года назад +1

      With nufletch, to access the light you do, but could leave out and shoot over and over with just the nock and no light. With burt coyote you'd have to turn off BUT Personally I just leave them on the whole time that I practice. They last a really long time!

  • @dheller777
    @dheller777 4 года назад

    I think the Lumenoks a real pain in the butt to get to turn off and stay off. You either need to spend more money to get the arrow puller or buy an even more expensive padded pliers to turn them off. The other nocks that you have to pull completely out of the shaft to turn off are even worse. Also with a half moon nock you need to make sure the Luminok is still lined up to properly index the string unlike the flat end nocks you are using. I shoot a Barnett and the Luminoks are one of the few that have a large enough diameter to disengage the anti dry-fire mechanism so you can the the safety off to fire the crossbow. Not a big pain in a hunting situation but in a practice situation it id a pain in the butt.
