He looks so much different omg
@Quiltx oh oh oh ozempic.
I bet he's eating better and I think him and Kirsten went half on a baby.
Its insane how actors can make such vast transformations! They also have tv/movie studios paying for all the things they need for it to be done haha
@@dwarfchron801There are very good medications for this now.
He’s gotta play Matt Damon in the Matt Damon biopic
WOW... Jesse Plemons looks great, healthy, handsome, and 20 years younger! Good job, young man!
These two were at the top of their game in the series. Just finished watching it last night. Top notch performances from both of them. Hope they both get nominated for Emmys.
I also thought Tom Pelphrey was amazing. Nom for him also.
So this is the third time Hollywood's told the story (twice within a several-year time span). Please tell me why I should watch this story being told, yet, three times.
@@The_Whimsical_Stenographer…so don’t…
@@The_Whimsical_Stenographereither you see it or you don’t. No one cares if you don’t
Elizabeth Olsen probably gave the best performance of her entire career at this point.
AGREE! She was the most expressive I've ever seen any actor in anything thus far... it was like she used every muscle of her face to express what Candy may have felt, and I really appreciated that.
The acting on this show is top tier! I’m sure they both will be nominated for Emmy’s later in the year. Also, the weight loss looks great on Jesse.
Not top tier, but really really good. Good actors both of Them 😊
Agreed. Im hesitant to watch the Hulu series as I feel I might be disappointed. Phenomenal acting!!
He looks really good. Was he larger before the show or did he gain the weight for it.
@@Jakobvielsted did you watch the show? elizabeth olsen acting was phennomenal
Jessica Biel was ten times better in the Hulu series. Much better.
I love how honest this guy is. He doesn’t dance around the uncomfortable questions. So not Hollywood.
Hell always be Todd to me
@@ShrimplyPibblesJr 😢 Loved that show.
omg jesse looks 20 years younger!! so happy for him
I almost was like who is he
@@missalee2948 yes, he looks pretty different now. It's like he's got back to his earliest days on breaking bad...so cool
@@scarlet2690I’m confused was he wearing a fat suit?
@@eden20111 he lost weight. That's all-
@@eden20111 The filming for Love and Death finished on April 7, 2022 and the interviews for the show started a year later which means he started his weight loss either during or after filming of the series.
Sad reality is that anyone of us could've been candy or betty at any moment in our lives. Felt stuck on their current situation in life, wanted change, and did everything to find change, just to mess it up completely. (Top that of with our past childhood traumas *if any*, and/or being UNABLE to fully express our frustrations to the people who COULD help).
Betty could've easily been, the killer IF Candy's accounts of that day were truly proven as the fact, and Candy wasn't successful on disarming Betty.
It's also terrifying to see what humans are capable of when adrenaline and blind rage aligned in a perfect moment. 😨
The catalyst for Candy was the possibility of her lovers wife being pregnant..I mean, it's common for the "other woman" ( or man) to think their lovers aren't sleeping with their spouses...especially at that time. You can't make me believe, had the wife known beforehand about the affair, that her oldest daughter would be spending time with Candy. Fabricated....would LOVE to hear more about Candy from her siblings...bingo.
How do you know Betty even had an axe?
It bothered me that I felt more compassion and less judgement toward Elizabeth Olsen’s Candy than I did towards Jessica Biel’s Candy.
La Candy de Elizabeth es como la opinión pública actual la hubiese juzgado. La de Jessica, es la versión de cómo la opinión pública la juzgó en el pasado (perspectiva machista)
I agree! I'm wondering if it's because in the movie Don makes the comment of Candy being so loved by everyone. Elizabeth portrayed her as a lovable person. Jessica was more cold in my opinion. Both did a phenomenal job.
Same. I felt this one did a better job of showing a leading up to the murder but it also made you more empathetic towards candy than the other one
Love the series. Superb acting & the set decoration is top tier! Takes me back to my 70s childhood
Elizabeth's performance is outstanding and I'm only halfway through
Her acting is brilliant..Amazing
Nothing about it was brilliant
@@nikola-ye8ru you must be an active member of the Television Academy! Oh wait, you are not. So no one gives a sh*t about your one line commentary
I haven’t seen it yet, but I saw Jessica Biel’s version. In fact, I saw the first 3 episodes way before they aired as part of my side hustle…watching sh*t and getting paid for my opinion. They don’t tell u anything about what you’re going to see or who’s in it, before-hand. I swear to god I didn’t recognize Jessica for quite awhile, and let me tell u she was absolutely amazing. Completely believable in the role…she owned that sh*t. I couldn’t wait to see the rest when it finally made it to air.
Tbh, Jessie is the far better actor
I don’t think it’s possible for me to love Elizabeth Olsen any more than I do. She’s AMAZING !
Imagine finding out your therapist murdered a woman with an axe and left a baby to starve?
LOL
The real candy has probably had many surgeries to change up her look this story is so public can’t imagine she would look the same
Curb Your Enthusiasm song begins to play…..

facts
He looks so good, good for him
Her acting in this was next level. Top tier 💯
...just seen the first showing and I'm already hooked with Elizabeth's performance and she's beautiful 💫
He’s always been such a peculiar looking guy to me since Friday Night Lights days and this might be the best he’s ever looked to me
He looks like Todd again.
Wow Ozempic has really done Jesse Plemons / good. I’ve never seen such a positive transformation.
I'm so excited waiting for the 6th episode, series is so interesting. Btw, it's impossible not to notice Jesse's physical change 😮.
The last episode was amazing!! That scene of the psychological rage was superb
It concerned me right away. Did you notice that it seemed like he was trying to hide the fact that he was shaking. It looks like he's trying to keep his hands busy. Just like Michael j Fox used to. I hope he is healthy though😢
He looks so good omg
Like two totally different people.
I was just gonna say! Now I see how Kristen Dunst would make sense. And he is also super talented, of course
Daaaaaaaaamn!!!!!! What a transformation!!!!!!!
Lots of tension between those two. Wonder why.
Elizabeth does appear to have come better prepared, though. At least appears to respond to the interviewer's questions with greater ease and sophisticación than Jessie.
She's a know it all
Excellent series. I've watched it a couple of times. I will watch it again!
Good for him man he looks way better.
Really appreciated Elizabeth Olsen's answers in this interview. It feels like she really took efforts to go beyond the surface level of various labels that could've and would've been placed on Candy back then (or even now) and try to capture the human within. And it really shows in her performance as well.
Elizabeth is so beautiful 😍 This show is really good. My favourite episodes were episodes 4 -7, they were amazing
“This is our job to tell stories” is a wild thing to say in response to the actual family you’re depicting not wanting their story depicted.
Right? The way he coldly answered that was weird and off putting
Very much so!! Elizabeth could’ve handled it better, I mean something along the lines that “I’m an actor, I need to earn money and act in wtv they grow at me, cuz I need to live, my morals are low and I don’t care ab that”
@@marianospears3626 That wouldve gone over well.
haha...no this is Hollywood making money off innocent people who are trying to put a horrible tragedy behind them.
Nothing wrong with telling a story. There was nothing cold about his response.
omg! Jesse is skinny! I didn't even recognized him. He looks good
Don Crowder was my Pop Warner football coach for a couple of years. I went to school with his kids he was a win-at-all-costs type of person. We did not lose a game ever not 1
I loved this show, but there needs to be waaay more judgement for Candy Montgomery. Candy was not a good friend. I do not think that attack was provoked. Elizabeth did a great job for that version of this story, but she is way more pretty than the real Candy and I think the character she played was much kinder and genuine than the real Candy. I think Candy was an incredibly self centered person who lacked empathy and wanted to keep that good christian image in that church-centered community and poor Betty was someone who could expose her. We need another version. I want to see someone like Jane Lynch with a tight perm and her t shirt tucked into her 80s running shorts punting a vollyball into Bettys face then having a fast and dirty affair with her husband. Candy doesnt deserve our compassion.
There is another version. Candy on Hulu starring Jessica Biel as Candy and Melanie Lynsky as Betty.
@@shawnuel I saw that too. I also just realized theres a book was a dramatic fictionalization of this story that this script is almost word for word called "Evidence of Love" that I read an excerpt from. Its a good read. I see why people are adapting it. The murder happened, but Im not sure how many details of the affair were public knowledge or if things like their "rules" really happened.
Their is "Candy" from 2022.
conveying the real life history is so much more important than varying the truth to get a certain reaction. as someone who has read “evidence of love,” a book made with interviews on many people involved in the case (including candy, the only interview she ever did about it), how olsen portrayed her is exactly how she was seen by everyone. she was not outwardly narcissistic or cruel, she was warm and friendly and disarming, which is one of the reasons it was so hard for anyone to believe she was a murderer, and another reason why the whole case was so bizarre. this was a real life case. please do not suggest that we start altering facts of reality just to garner a certain reaction that makes it easier for viewers to make an opinion on things. retelling history is about telling the truth.
@@rae3071 the book says it is a dramatized fiction based on real events. Nobody knows what really happened. When someone murders someone else with no other witnesses, you only have the murderers side of the story which is inherently unfair. Candy had a motive. There is literally no way to know what really happened. Thats why murder investigations happen. Almost every murderer claims self defense. Being nice and charming is also not the same as being a good person or innocent. Thats why narcissistic personality disorder is a diagnosis. Everyone thought Lori Vallow was great too, until she killed het kids.
When I think of Candy Montgomery, I think of THE perm. It was hideous even for the '80's.
I understand the actors wanted to be open minded about the characters they portrayed. But how on earth can you have no judgment of someone who would hack away at another human being 40 times...long after she subdued Betty. For me, the jury was way too gullible. She could have hit Betty, knocked her down, then run out the door with Betty on the ground. No she did not do that. She was clearly in a total rage, had said she hated Betty. Well I guess we saw that is true. I guess I would have liked to see her a little more in a rage, the actress I mean. Because obviously Candy was just full of rage. I will say however, Elisabeth Olsen was fantastic in her acting, just the expressions on her face, well, she does deserve an award for this I think.
Dude is geeked tf out.
great performance... really great
The cast is perfection,
I’m sorry did Jesse Plemons do Ozempic? Yikes.
He looks the same in the power of the dog and love and death. Now he looks different, and younger wow
She's such a gem
Jesse looks fabulous.
Absolutely love this series way better then candy on Hulu .. Elizabeth Olsen is awesome in every way I'm a fan of hers now due too love and death amazing job ...
It you really liked her in this, then watch her in Sorry for your Loss. Incredible.
Wow, they look so awkward in the interview.
I noticed the same. Seemed tense. Weird. I don't know. They looked annoyed or something 😅
These are both great actors 👏
I appreciate Jesse's short no-nonsense non-babbling answers. Can't say the same for Elizabeth Olsen.
I want to speak about the elephant in the room , how many kilos did he lose !
And did you notice his hand gestures and head nodes become much more manly ...
well done ..
This interview was kinda painful tbh. They seem like they’d prefer to be anywhere other than there lol 😅
Wow, welcome back, Jessie!
She was so damn good in this!
So they found the perm distracting? 😅
This show was brilliant. 💥👏 one million times better than the hulu series.
Is this a confession, Jessie Plemmons, personally, or are you playing a character? (3:05 - 3:10)

Great series really, the firsts episodes the character of Candy made me so uncomfortable, I really felt weird watching them, all the affair and so on. All actors are 👍🏼.
A mi me sucedió lo contrario con la serie de Elizabeth Olsen, los primeros capítulos son ligeros y se disfrutan, sobre todo la música, ya en el cuarto episodio cambia todo.
If one thing was different this event could of never happened. Yeah if Betty Gore acts like an adult & doesn't attack a person with an Axe, this event could of never happened...
Well, we don't know if she really did attack Candy with an axe
@@khwezi4725 I prefer evidence free from speculation. We have that in the polygraph test, no speculation or human bias. It indicates that Betty Gore was the attacker. She was the one with the motive of bloodthirst revenge. Candy was long removed from the relationship with her Husband and was functioning perfectly fine with both of them . I think Betty was the psycho just as she is portrayed on "Love & Death". She is scary crazy her actress that play's her.
@@khwezi4725 yes we know! You dont, couse you have no intrest in the true or in the evolution of law, you are only intrest in laceration!
@@majik_manAny sociopath (which clearly Candy is) can pass a polygraph. Is actually very easy for them. They are pathological liars. So I believe you are wrong. A person doesn't cut another person with an axe 40 times and then calls it self defense. You are as gullible as those morons in the jury.
Wow, Jesse Plemons looks amazing! And he is such a good actor. Well done. The beard seems itchy still though. ;)
& Elizabeth is amazing as candy ❤
I have watched first 2 episodes and so far it’s blowing my mind. Hope it holds up all the way through. Watching I was thinking how Jesse has changed since Breaking Bad. What a make up job they did.
He’s just overweight and clean shaven…?

This is two people who are so tired of this press junket and have probably answered these questions 100000 times
Why couldn’t he be this hot in the show????
Great interview questions but their answers were so meh and awkward, neither seem prepared and like they were tiptoeing on what to say.
I feel like Lizzie’s last response was really well thought out, she just wanted to make sure she wasn’t coming off incorrectly so she would clarify in the middle of it.
The after Jesse looks like the before Jesse's son 😮
Wow he finally lost weight! He looks really young now! Hope it was lost in a safe healthy way though!!
Lydia, oh, Lydia.

The f*** are you talking about? That is it exactly the type of people I'd expect to have an affair.
Affairs can happen anywhere and do.
I was so shocked finding out she is the Olsen twins sister I googled her cause I thought she was gorgeous and baffled when it said her last name
Wow, Jesse looks great!
In truth it's a story of a crime it's public knowledge so it's fair game
Jesse looks so good
Omg Jesse Plemons looks like a nascar driver now...
i almost didn’t even recognize bro😭
No judgement? You've got to be kidding me.
Who’s the guy sitting next to her?
Jesse looks amazing. Very handsome
BB Todd is back
I just want to say I preferred the Hulu presentation . Alan Gore's make-up was bad . He looked like a monster. "Candy" was much more realistic. I think you should judge her . I think she killed her because Allan went back to his wife and she really loved him . Jealousy.I mean I think that's why she chopped her up so bad. Being a suburban wife in the seventies was enough to drive you crazy .
41 chops? That's not self defence.
Is that Allan!?
I think Jessica Biel is staring daggers at the director and hair & makeup crew of "Candy" for NOT thinking of having her hair be relatively normal for HER show, too. lol
She did great job unlike the "actress" in this video
The hulu version is so boring compared to this one
I think they both did REALLY well in the role.
Honestly, though, I was more SURPRISED BY Jessica Biel's turn. She did amazing, and it felt like she didn't have quite the advantages Elizabeth Olsen had to work with.

I liked this show the best because their was no bias. Most shows about this are aimed straight at Candy being a jealous sex fueled maniac.
This one shows her human side. It lets you actually get to know her a bit.
Por lo mismo, amamos el papel de Elizabeth Olsen, la cual la retrata como una persona normal dentro de una comunidad extremémosles competitiva y recelosa
And it's shocking to see people making such superficial and emotional judgments about such a delicate topic and that, in a way, could happen to anyone! It's scary to see the lack of empathy in people these days, just laceration
@@stfuTaylorsVersion no, the bias is focused on the investigation of the case! How resentful and hurt people have become, to be incapable of making a rational analysis based on facts and humanity, to the detriment of an emotionally unhealthy vision that projects its pain on everything it sees; starting to live only in the hatred of wanting to destroy everything that refers to their emotional frustration. God, are you really an adult?
@@stfuTaylorsVersion Sit there and go drink your milk, you don't have the capacity to be in this discussion. Come back in about 10 years, who knows (because of his inflated ego, I don't think so, but...).
Watching media for all my life, and growing increasingly frustrated with characters and development, I understand that actors just act. They don't care about the affects of who they play as deeply as we the audience are invested. That's why I've become more selective in what I watch, and how I engage with the stories being told.
*I'll correct myself and say "most actors". We've heard of stories were actors had grievances with how a character was portrayed or a script and walked away from a role.
