A tree lopper friend used to get business by putting leaflets in letterboxes, but he was always careful not to leave a leaflet where the trees looked "difficult". It was always embarrassing when someone passed a leaflet on to the skipped house next door!

Very true, when customers think in hourly they think “I’ve never been paid over $30/hr that’s outrageous” without thinking of the equipment and running costs of the whole business lol

Is the $200/hr $200 per man hour, or total for everyone on the job, say a 3 man crew?

Total for everyone on site. Depending on overhead and size of the operation I think falling somewhere between $125-$200 per hour is decent.
