You're the first person I've seen to teach these, if I had seen this several years ago it probably would have sped up my progress significantly. A Lot of people are lucky to have you man!

    I learned that first form as the “blues slide scale” because the slides are all across the sharp 3 blue note. I wish we had standard names for all these components.
    Anyway, you can really do quite a lot with just this. Great lesson - this alone could make a high school guitar hero if you got really good at it.

    Marty, I can't emphasize this enough but I really can't seem to learn with tabs. All I can do is learn by ear and sight with a proper tutorial. I have been learning a lot from u because what you do is the type of teaching technique I know how to follow but I can't find a tutorial like it for Better than me by the Brobecks. I've been stuck with my eg recently and would love to keep going and learn it from you. Hope this request reaches you!

    • @r33th
      @r33th Год назад

      same here. tabs are vague as they don't portray certain nuances, and when my eyes see the numbers they just don't register the fretboard visual correctly unless i really take it slow. Learning by ear is so much faster and efficient. It's way better for your musicality too. Tabs hold people back!

    Marty, is the Flying V comfortable sitting down? do I have to hold the neck with fretting hand? I am considering saving up for one! Do you think I should? Why you never use a Flying V? :P

    • @kevind3094
      @kevind3094 Год назад +1

      I used to play a flying v a long time ago and I really enjoyed it. My musical taste changed a bit and I got rid of it. But to answer your question when you’re sitting down you put The V of the guitar resting on your right leg if you’re right hang guitar player and slightly squeeze your legs together and it stays or if you just use a guitar strap as well hold it in place nicely. It puts you in a classical guitar position and it’s really comfortable

    • @mylogify
      @mylogify Год назад +1

      @@kevind3094 Thank you for the answer. I am hoping to save that much, since I sold RG550 due to it's very thin neck... Enjoy your other guitar :). Cheers
