      So lol I need to try this, so I dont bitch about the heat all summer. I tried this in the past but didnt have a circuit that could hanldle the AC's amps with my power tools, welder, etc...or even just the AC itself. I do now. Have a dedicated 25 amp circuit...but sold the AC.

    27:20 black.....I know you are just mocking up the cooling system, I think the fan and tank hardware would look better mounted with black hardware. Heads bolts forward and nuts aft. Maybe even using black acorn nuts.

    It seems to be a very cost effective way to get rid of the stock engine driven P/S pump plus You free up a bit of horse power and clean up the front of the engine . Keep thinking 🤔 out side of the box ! Best Wishes

    You Mentioned originally the car was getting hot at low speeds so I don’t understand how the air damn fixed the issue. If it’s still getting warm at low speeds and stop and go there’s still issues. Fans are probably not up to par or shrouding isn’t correct.

    • @HOUSEOFDULA
      @HOUSEOFDULA  2 года назад

      True. Car would get hot at low speeds, but never be able to cool off even at high speeds. The air dam, now over 40-45mph drops the temps as expected, which it was not doing. All in all, my rad is 3", and just likely too thick, with a 3+" intercooler and AC condenser. I need a sh!t ton of fan, likey a brushless one to get through all that. This is about as good as its going to get I think to drive in the summer heat with AC on without spending $$$$$ on a brushless fan setup.

    I just bought the derale 16833 dual fan setup. My 84 was originally a 4 cylinder and it never had that air dam piece. What I did have however is what looks like an air intake tube that ran from the bottom of the front passenger fender up to where the battery would sit under the hood. All my wiring is there now so I guess I’ll be ordering an air dam piece. The town is paving my streets so I haven’t driven my mustang after the derale install. Originally I was using one derale 16 inch and it started getting hot in 80+ degree weather when in traffic but I had no shroud either. One of the little 11 inch fans seems like it moves more air then the big 16 inch. Summer time will definitely make you iron out your cooling system though.

    • @HOUSEOFDULA
      @HOUSEOFDULA  2 года назад +1

      I think you'd be suprised. Black Fox is what changed my mind. Saying basically over 40 yours fans are useless and your at the mercy of that air deflector to do its job.

Seems to be around 45+ or so MPH, the temps just normalize. Gets that turbo heat OUT

    So the guys running a front bumper that’s lower than stock or have the air dam mounted to the bumper ( I think to keep air from getting under the car ) - do those provide the same benefit?

    • @HOUSEOFDULA
      @HOUSEOFDULA  2 года назад +1

      Good question. Im no engineer, but i would think so yes, that the low GT bumpers, chin spoiler would add the same benefit. But my car is pretty low, and clearly gets enough air under it to tap heat in the engine bay. A low flat bumper like on the 79 cobra, would in my opinion create that low pressure spot behind it and under the car. Clearly much smarter people engineering this stuff than me because I was a skeptic for years
