Zoroastrian Fire Temple - Yazd - Iran

- After 1500 years, the fire of Yazd fire temple is still burning and it has never been put out! Yazd is the center of Zoroastrianism in Iran. It is said that Zarathustra was born in 1768 BC on north west of Iran and then he became prophet at the age of 35. This religion is the first Monotheistic religion and the they call on God as Ahura Mazda which means great, wise, creator.

don't know why but I always feel attraction about ancient Parsi culture. There are so many similar rituals performed in both Parsi and Hindu religion. Sanskrit and Avesta has lot of similar words. Parsis had great contribution in India's progress. It is believed by Historian and scholars that Parsis and Hindu have same Aryan Vedic cultural history. Respect from India 🙏
Thank you for watching the video. Yes! In 7th century, the Arabs conquered Persian empire (Sassanids) and because of too much cruelty and pressure from Arabs, some of Persians escaped to India and just from that time the Parsis community began in India. Parsis or Persians have roots in Aryans.
Both Hindus and Zorastrians are religions of the Fire. As opposed to those religions of the book.

Zoroastrianism the first and the mother religion of all monotheistic religions.
Fire symbolizes light, truth, justice, knowledge, warmth, the sun. It symbolizes the God. Zorastrians and the Hindus have always seen Fire as the symbol of the Gods that's why in all ancient Hindu temples there is always the Fire burning. And the ancient fires of the eternal city of Benares on the banks of the sacred Ganges have been burning since times immemorial. Maybe those fires had been brought by the Aryans from Iran.

This old American loves Persian culture and is attracted to the Zoroastrian faith. I refer often to Mary Boyce's book Zoroastrians: Their Religious Beliefs and Practices. I would so love to visit Yazd and see this temple. But, I fear that being American would hinder that. There are two sets of religions in the world - The religions of Fire and the Religions of the Book. Fire are Zorastrians, Hindus, Greeks, Vikings, European Pagans. Christians were at first people of the Fire - Jesus lit the fire or brought the Fire from the Hindus or Zorastrians. Later the ancien regime took over the Christian revoltion and turned it back into the religion of the book.

Hi there sir. Are Non Iranians allowed to go in this temple? I have been practicing Mazdayasna religion for about 2 years now and wanting so bad to visit a fire temple for my inner soul satisfaction. Fire temples in India do not let Non Parsis in. Does the fire temples in Iran follow this rule or is it open to everyone? Hinduism is a great religion but it is a henotheism religion which is the worship of a single, overarching god while not denying the existence or possible existence of other lower deities. Monotheistic refers to ONLY JUST ONE God.

You can check Wikipedia, there is an article on Fire Temples and the daily care of these sacred fires.
The fuel is wood. Almond, walnut and etc.

Archeological evidence suggest Zoroastrianism arose in North East Iran where Iranian language arose at around 1700 BC. There was specific culture with archeological name YAZ who did not practice burying their dead . They lived in cities and were technologically advanced for the time. Note the area and time is when Eastern and Western Iranian language split and Iranian tribes settled in current area of Iran.
Zoroastrianism origin is ariana old afghanistan not Iran. Iranians were Elamites and became religion of Achaemenids

athā kratuḥ ṛitātcīt sacā

And show it to sunnis/shi'a/ibadi so they may understand that they are influenced by this using their Hadith for their ritual prayer (the salaat).
Its like the similarities of sholat and jewish prayer with Eastern Orthodox Christian prayers; I tell you so as an Orthodox Christian.
Also the 5 prayers a day proceeds from certain Zoroastrian communities.

In my life I will try and visit the all the Fire Temples in Iran. And go and bathe in that frozen lake up in the mountains by the broken temples of our forefathers. The forefathers of Hindus came from these mountains.

They do not worship fire, they just pay respect to the fire as a natural element.
Zoroastrianism has its origin in Judaism… the original followers were cast out by Moses when he returned with the Ten Commandments and so were never given the Mosaic law… they drifted eastwards to Persia and then India… the fire symbolises the burning Bush through which Yahweh spoke to Moses… since they believe in the one supreme God, it cannot have originated from Hinduism but the other way round

As a native middle eastern Semitic, Persians came from India. They came to Middle East with no letter. They used Babylon, Assyrian letters. They plagiarized Assyrian, Babylon, design, and brought fire worshiping from India and call themselves a civilisation without letters. Even up today they used Arabic letter. @@come2persia279 According to ancient indian scripture Rigveda modern Persians were Parshwa clan of Vedic Kshatriyas who migrated to todays Iran region. And thats the reason why older Persian language is very similar to Sanskrit and there is very much cultural similarites beterrn Vedic Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism) and Zorarastrianism. And ancient iranians also worship nature and Mitra god just like indians.
