The Baysian was a sailing yacht. That means she should have had at least tens of tons of ballast at her lowest point, either a fixed fin keel, or a large centerboard.. (Given her size). That's necessary to counteract the weight of her sailing rig and the press of the wind in her sails. Ships of steel should be immune to the effects a tornado or waterspout. They are built more strongly than almost any modern house. I can see the extensive amount of glass in aluminum structure and framing as a weakness in this case, given that one of the features of a tornado is the extreme low pressure at the center of the funnel. If enough glazing is lost and the tornado then lays her on her side, there might be enough rapid flooding to sink her, even if she recovers from the knockdown by the tornado. Mast and boom might have gone down and over to one side, with the steel support cables still attached, forcing the hull to lean over far enough for the waves to reach empty window frames.
But rescuers had to bust the glass in order to get to the bodies, so the boat couldn't have sunk because the windows broke. I would think that, when the boat was blown on it's side, the water would come rushing in through it's hatches, which were probably opened. The divers couldn't get in through them because there was furniture blocking their way.

(Mr. Chamberlain was fatally struck by a car on Saturday while out for a run, his lawyer, Gary S. Lincenberg, said Monday in an emailed statement.) Yep,coincidence-really
The whole story with the subplots strikes me as there could be a lot more to this
This wasn't an accident.

You really think this was an accident... other people in the US close to Lynch "tragically " died recently too......

@vladdracula2643 yes sir these billionaires have just discovered that all the years of robbing their employees is worth nothing in the afterlife

Nope. It was a water spout. Or swamp gas. Or ball lightning.

that poor captain

So that billionaire was on that boat 😮
Ow they can spend a long time down there, it just takes a lot longer time coming up and more sophisticated diving equipment & procedures.
