- Five bodies have been recovered from the wreck of a luxury yacht, which sank off Sicily in a storm. A fifth has been located. Divers had been trying to access the cabins since Monday morning to find six missing people.

They include the British tech tycoon Mike Lynch, who'd been celebrating his recent acquittal in a long-running US fraud case, his daughter Hannah and Morgan Stanley International chair Jonathan Blumer. The body of a chef had already been recovered. 15 others were rescued.

It’s very sad to hear they found 5 bodies but particularly the beautiful and clever 18yr old daughter who had such a promising life ahead of her. My heart breaks for her mother who apparently survived but lost her husband as well.

This stinks to high heaven.. the most basic safety practices weren’t followed if people were still in their cabins with weather bad enough to break the mast.. the fact one of the deaths follows a huge court case and the death of the other co defendant in weird circumstances would make me ask if the bodies found were actually dead presinking.

Agreed, they run into trouble in the ocean and then they are screwed because they probably thought nothing could go wrong... drunk intoxicated and confused. I'm more inclined to go on a cruise ship or ocean liner, still fun and a good time and not likely to sink unless the captain is stupid enough to hit rocks. Cruise ships also have better evacuation procedures and lots of lifeboats.
