I can't wait to try this tomorrow, every time I've tried to plow stop I just keep doing bubbles and don't actually stop. But you're the first video I've seen suggesting the weight transfer and I really hope that makes the difference!
Thank you Abominatrix! Love how you teach, showing how to transfer weight and energy is perfect. This lil "outdoor studio" is so fun and inspiring at the same time.
This is amazing. Thank you for this level of detail in your tutorial. I don't have my skates on right now but was able to even just start practicing that squat, push, and friction move. I'm excited to try it with my skates on!
Thank you for breaking this down! I've watched so many videos and haven't been able to get my stopping down. This one feels like I'll finally be able to get it today! Gotta be able to stop so I can get out of the parking lot hehe.
how to get better knee strength/flexibility to do this?? recently sprained my mcl (inner side knee ligament) because doing too many plow stops, bubbles and transitions in one day put so much pressure on it that it gave out
But - newbie question: now you use the Fondea's, right... But what if you have softer wheels, like the Moxi Gummies? Friction is not that easy when the wheels are stuck to the ground because they are so soft... Love and light from Norway
(I'm sure you've got this handled by now, but for anyone wondering hasn't) I've found that softer wheels make this stop easier, especially indoors! Your wheels grabbing increases the friction once they're at an angle, whereas harder wheels have more skid on top of the surface.
Plough stopped on my block yesterday and hit a tiny pebble that sent me flying! One of my more hilarious wipe-outs for sure

I have the same issue! Did this help you?

You guys should do a tutorial on how to do a 360 stall (that’s where you stall then 360 jump and land).
I was hoping to see you do a plow stop while skating fast. Or at least moving. Thanks.
I learned plow stops on derby skates. I didn't know you could do them with normal high top skates.

I keep trying and never stop😭
Plow stops are the one stop that I have down 100% Always my go to choice!!
Still learning stops but I’m always going slow while learning. Can you do this stop while going fast?
Was wondering the same and was hoping there would be a demonstration at the end.

Hi
🤘💖
Hi first
This video is honestly too complicated, the explanations are too complicated for plow stop. Too detailed
