Dirty, you’re such a great teacher! I’ve been watching all of your videos for weeks while waiting for my skates to arrive. THEY’RE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE TOMORROW! I can’t wait. I was hell-on-wheels as a kid on steel-wheeled, clamp-on sidewalk skates. I don’t remember ever falling down outside. Loved going to the rink, too, where I definitely did fall down. But, it never stopped me. Kids bounce. Now I’m old, fat, weak, and somewhat brittle. But, I’m determined to get back on skates... with dorky looking safety gear to protect my brittle bones... and cruise my little neighborhood. I’m looking forward to getting stared at, ‘cause I’ll be waving at everyone and having a blast! Thanks for your great videos!

This move was so helpful for me in getting the hang of forward outside edges!! It was hard for me to feel mentally comfortable leaning into the outside edge because there’s no foot out there to catch you if you lose your balance.... unless you have your other foot ready to do a cross over :) plus it’s such a fun way to get groovy when skating forward. I used to skate every day when I was younger & still have confidence that I can do it. So I laced up for 15min yesterday. Man my balance is there but sketchy I still have sideways & reverse gears but same sketchy. I watched this video of yours & you reminded me of so pointers that I had forgotten about being a crusty old bloke now. I thought I'd just give it another go now to build up fitness. I'd like to say thanks mate for the reminders. I definitely tune back in to say G'day. Thanks mate. Stay safe kind regards Ian

Watching this again, because I had some work to do, to fix my errors from last night... Having a hard time getting those wheels to just move left (for the left outer edge), OMG!!! Did she seriously just cross her heart for a Hail Mary!? Lol!!! The second you did it, then you said exactly what I was thinking!!! Lol... I was never baptized Catholic. However, I was raised Catholic and attended Catechism, and Mass, because my aunt was a teacher at her church. And you seriously just made me relive my childhood traumas!!! Now I gotta skate for therapy!!!😂
