The documentary, "Young Royals Forever" watch it, worth it. Been with you from the beginning. The Monarchy will continue and August is scared shitless. Sara's line, "It'll pass." is iconic and lifted directly from the series, "Fleabag" LIsa confirmed it. And as with everything else in this series, Wille's line, "Hope you have a nice summer." is a mirror of Simon's line from season 1, "Hope you have a nice Christmas." and just as sad except that Lisa had a surprise in store for us.
i've seen many comments about the docu so maybe! that "It'll pass" line is so iconic, had no idea of where the inspiration came from though! i also did NOT pick up on the "Hope you have a nice summer" line at ALL!! now, that's also iconic 🤣
The song "Revolution" at the party is an up-beat variant of Elias' song from season 1 (sports field and season finale). The same song plays in the background when Wilhelm explains to his parents that he doesn't want to be king
It’s not the next day when Wille and Simon went down to the lake. They went straight there during the party night. It’s pretty light the whole night this time of the year! 💜
really? i didnt know that! ive heard some theories of them spending the night together (bcos they had to get wille's blanket from his room), and then they went out at sunrise. its also darker when simon and sara arrive for the party...?
@@jennyrose107 the sun set is at around 10-11 PM in the Stockholm area and the sunrise is at around 2-3 AM. And it is not getting really dark in between in june. So it happens during the same party night. 🙂 I am pretty sure that the lake scene is shot in sunset. Wille spend the night alone and woke up in his own bed. This is what Edvin says in a Swedish newspaper about the last scene that was shot: "Edvin Ryding's tears during the last "Young royals" - Everything was magical. An incredible summer sunset, the water was so still and calm it was almost like a bad movie. I cried, but for me it was a bit like when I graduated. We did it and put an end to the last chapter. A strong feeling. Magnificent.”
"Their chemistry is insane" ❤🔥- absolutely, indisputable :)! Like when Wille and Simon are talking in the lake scene, the acting/ lines was improvised which shows how on another level it is (one of many examples).
Guys this was such a fun journey re-experiencing the show with you two! I especially loved your reaction to the finale because I would have been the same way if the ending hadn’t been spoiled for me on Twitter. Before that I was like Hunter and had no idea how it would end. If it had been any other show I would have been 90% sure it was a happy ending but YR also goes more realistic than fairytale so I was fully expecting the possibility of a bittersweet ending. I do want to say because I’m pretty sure I was one of the people who said you guys were being too hard on Simon that I appreciate that you guys took that to heart and tried to be more open to his side of things that was really nice. Also I agree that the second season did a really bad job of showing Simon’s perspective and what he was going through because that season was the big arc for Wille to get him to that speech so most of that season focused on him but I feel like they made up for it in this final season as we really got in depth with how terrible things were for Simon even more than Wilhelm was aware. Overall it was a fantastic show and I couldn’t ask for or imagine a better ending.
NO!! that's horrible that the ending got spoiled for you 😭 that is my worst nightmare 😫 i'm glad you enjoyed the videos! and like we mentioned, thanks for your perspective! we love hearing what others have to say. i agree, the ending was the best ending we could have gotten with the circumstances:) thanks for all the support 😊
i’ve loved your reactions so much!! and i’ll throw my voice in with the people suggesting to young royals forever doc, it’s very fun and also beautiful, really feels like excellent closure to the show itself, weirdly.
I loved that you were so invested in the show! I wish that we'd been able to see some more of Wille and Simon being happy, but I was sure they had to end up together. I was devastated the show was over, but I'm always going to love these characters. I wish they could get some sort of continuation but at least they got to tell the story they wanted in the end. Thank you for the thoughtful and emotional reactions! 💜
thank you for the comment :) i agree with what you said-- it felt like we didn't get to see a lot of them happy towards the end, but they did get their happy ending regardless :)
Been here since day one💜💜 43:36 your videos have also showed me others perspectives about all the characters and it has really helped me understand some things a lot better 💜💜
I've been watching you guys since the beginning, and having already seen the show, I was absolutely relating to everything you guys were going through lol. I didn't realize there was 20 minutes left during the song in the last episode, so I thought that was the very end -- when I tell you I was going THROUGH it
Loved your reaction!! Been here from the start 😅 Felt bad for you when you thought they'd have a sad ending 😂 You should watch the documentary at least on your own, they give the audience some closure haha. Also! OG Skam is my official rec if you two would like to keep watching something, it's similar but different and so so so good 🥰❤️💜
Reminds me of the ending of the final season of UK Queer as Folk, another happy ending. There, the happy couple sails down the road and out into space. In the real world, Wilhelm remains the son of the reigning queen and there's still baggage that comes with that.
I don’t think august wanted to be king after that conversation at all and we as a fandom collectively agree that august had a shitty ending and his punishment was actually having the crown :) loved your reaction by the way, I cried as much as you did !
I am much older than you girls. But like you I was emotionally affected by this story. The two young actors made the show a success, I think. They were splendid! As a Scandinavian I can say that monarchy is a silly anachronism we don't need. And both Wille and Simon felt that too, like most young people here. So Wille's sacrifice was honest and sensible. Love means more than a title.

@@taketwo_TV The writing for this series is worthy of a Master's dissertation. (Maybe a PHD!)

pls watch the documentary if u want!!
We need to see your reaction to “Young Royals Forever” now! 🤩
MAYBE maybe
I think August had a couple of " be careful what you wish for moments".

this is also true
Btw, Wille's dad is not King, he is just the Queen's husband, so Prince consort like with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
oh, yes!
33:19 lmaoo
I CRIED SO HARD I ACTUALLY ENDED UP HAVING PUFFY EYES THE NEXT DAY
